Getting passed Des’ love of Sami, Foz and BK is the first hurdle. At least Liu has gone.

That's a good point T. Will Foz play 7 as well next year as he did this year? I'm not sure that he can and he's going to play busted most of the time and every year it gets harder. We're struggling to make finals if he's there all year unless our 6 is on fire. Weaver seems like the only guy capable of leading us around the park in Foz' absence and maybe accepting his liability in D is worth it as depth. If we're not resigning him, we'll need a ready made 7 out of JC or CG by Round 1.
I'm starting to wonder if BK is there to test our faith and if Sami runs out as centre in Round 1, I'm not sure I'll watch.

Just have some thinking. I have no concept of how Des justifies the BK rushes of blood or Sami's low skillset as a centre but I am hopeful that he sees CG as a transitional piece into an NRL 6 or even a 7. CG is not some flash in the pan recruit. He is a bonafide talent with good potential and the obvious choice to fill Foz' shoes, once he finds his feet in rugby league.
Foz' role surely has to be to bring on his own replacement from: JC, Weaver, AJ, Boyd, Ryder or Harrison to fill the other half's position. That seems like a lot of depth but in reality two are gap-filler converted fullbacks, two are untested kids and two are seemingly out of favour. I'd guess that the season will start with one of that long list partnering Foz until his body starts to give way then CG steps in for Foz. It's going to be a long off-season.
