Surprising that AKP didn't get more votes. Top try scorer across the comp in 24, playing in a team that finished 14th? Not a lot of love for Lofi here. Tough school.

FWIW...I love the bloke!

Highlight moments surrounded by a lot of areas that were detrimental or non effective IMO

Not much better sight than Lofi finding his way to the line and as a pure finisher he’s one of the best in the comp. I hope in 2025 he rounds out his game in other areas. Must say he seemed to improve overall as the season went on

Yep, certainly can't question his courage but it's a big step-up from QCup in the heavy work for an outside back, cite his previous partner in Tuaupiki ... AKP's very poor defensive reads, being a lottery under the high ball and his strange choices in broken play with the ball make him a rocks & diamonds proposition. I totally agree he seemed to be on an upward curve later in the season and hopefully the PM's XIII inspires him. I'm expecting a lot from him in 2025.

I reckon his overall improvement will come when the whole team steps up in general, but especially defence. All correctly applied defensive systems should start center field and drift left or right and up from there. Apart from failing to disarm direct attacking kicks, I find it a bit harsh to ping a winger for the failings of a backrower, center to complete their task infield. Then again...being steamrolled in a one-on-one tackle is 100% on the winger.

I think AKP would be considered a superstar at the storm, roosters or panthers. Somewhere where the defensive structures are smooth and effective and the attack flows from there.

No he wouldn't because his kick returns end up with him being dominated and driven back far too often.

Whilst kick returns have never been his strong point, even Addo-Carr developed a sideways shoulder leading jink between defenders to prevent being driven backwards by the D line regularly as a small body. Maybe Lofi could do something similar at times.

That said as others have alluded to he seemed to be making progress in that area in the backend of the season.
