2024 Squad, Signings and Rumours Thread

I don't really get the Liu hate tbh besides what he got paid but that's not his fault. His stats and play level were really no different to any year he had at the Roosters besides in 2021 when everyone's stats were up. We paid for off field leadership, Think about the vets we'd had around and the club went and found a good vet that was needed, He's helped Tino a lot. He was still one of the only guys in our team that can actually tackle as well hahaha.

We're really going to miss Liu and Clarks ballplaying through the middle, Both were by far our best at it.

Additionally, Brian Kelly’s 2024 season:

He also has the 4th most missed tackles in the entire NRL. Behind 3 hookers, who you’d expect to have significantly more per game with the volume of attempted.

He has the 9th most errors in the entire NRL. Behind a bunch of wingers who you’d expect to have the most errors with high ball contests, attempted finishes etc.

He also has the 9th most handling errors. A more specific version of errors? Lol

He’s also 9th amongst the entire NRL for penalties conceded.

We aren’t imagining it fellas
Someone talk some sense into the idiots at Parkwood

He'd also be 1st in the NRL in stupid first and second tackle kicking options and bad edge defensive reads.

Meh I think Liu's ballplaying is overrated. Teams were starting to figure out he always made the same pass out the back. It resulted in quite a few hospital passes towards the end of the season.

As he was no threat with ball in hand defenses started to cheat on him to shut his receivers down.

It used to be good but there were a lot of passes to the ground this year
