2025 Season General Discussion

I think it's more the NRL just really not giving a shit about us to where they put the Donkeys on Sunday at 6.15pm for a rivalry game, They have Panthers Eels scheduled at 4pm.

We play them at Suncorp on Saturday night prime time hahaha, We do own Suncorp these days so who cares.

Maybe they’re hiding them away in a time slot few will watch to save them the embarrassment

Once again AJ Brimson didn’t endear himself to me.
There is a video where the players are asked which opponent do they look forward to meeting next year.

Some said Canterbury (our first opponents), one said Penrith, one said Manly and plenty said the Drongoes.

But AJ ignored his employer and us fans and said NSW. Yeah Nah.

Yea I'm not feeling that either. I don't think Billy would too.

The draw is a bit meh. But I agree that we will only get more inside rail when we are a stronger and more successful club. With more public advocates and allies.

I’m trying to be all positive about 2025.

IMO the whole club and supporter base could do with an attack dog attitude.

Every year I get concerned about where and when we play, second guessing player attitudes from video and photos. Will players re-sign or leave
If the club wants to sell home games, do it then (hoping that money goes into JTS).

F@#k it all, just want every game home or away to be a siege. A couple of years under Carty and Henry we showed a real attitude, a toughness.

It’s very easy to write and hard to do, I myself have a mighty dummy spit each season and play victim with a chip on the shoulder.

Head up and all positive for 2025.

Let’s see how I go!

Not the best draw but we haven’t done jack shit in the past 10 years to earn any favours and or goodwill from the NRL. We start winning games and playing good footy I’m sure these scheduling issues will alleviate themselves. I think our path to success is simple: win the games against the evenly matched teams and snatch the odd game against the upper tier and we are in with a shot. I’m just praying the injury gods stay away and we have out spine and bench nailed down come round 1

Another article today about CG and how much he sacrificed by having a crack at the NRL instead of going to Europe.

Thought this line from his manager was interesting:
“There is a very structured and planned progression for Carter and the Titans are mindful not to put too much pressure on him.”

Nothing new but I’d think we can expect a slow burn before he’s close to being selected in the halves in NRL

It's a tremendous show of faith by Carter in Rugby League and more importantly our club.

When the cash-strapped Melbourne Rebels were axed by Rugby Australia in May, Gordon had a number of options at his disposal, including a move overseas that would have made him an instant millionaire.

Gordon fielded offers from European rugby outfits worth between $800,000 to $1 million-a-season, with the Sunshine Coast product capable of earning up to $2 million for a two-year package by heading abroad.

Instead, the 23-year-old inked a two-year deal with the Titans worth around $400,000 annually, meaning Gordon walked away from an estimated $1.2 million with his bold decision to switch codes.

Doesn’t look like the squad took well to the most recent instagram post of Sunny Kama having a shot put on him. Comment saying to take it down from BK, Keano thumbing it down, doesn’t look like any of them liked the post. Why would they upload that? Terrible for a kids confidence to use a low moment in the biggest/most high pressure few weeks of his life for some engagement on socials. Wonder if they’ll delete it.

So I just looked at it. Yeah it’s not spectacular but I don’t see the big deal either with the KK and BK reactions.

Half the footage of Kini at training is him ripping apart the squad hahaha. How's that not worse? The other week they posted JC carving up the left side. If he smashed him and made him look bad it's different but I don't see anything bad in it for Sunny, Gets up instantly and it's a shit pass, Sami being the right centre is a bigger issue although good on him for not killing the kid.

If anything the media team should be posting every stupid thing this team has done over the last few years.... BK would fill the whole pre season alone.
