Ryder is top 30, Only till 2025 on the list but at the time it was reported as 3 years.
Yeah love the T&Ts, I don't think any of them will let us down having to fill in and could be a gem in there + just lifting standards day to day in the group.

It sounds like Chammas got a call from someone at the club and made a point to say that the club isn't happy at all about how this has been represented, He pulled back quite a bit on supporting Pahulu and was more in the middle then last week, Weedlers last comments on it were it's very likely somewhere in the middle.
Des and co began talks at least a few weeks before the final round of the year and everyone was aware of the clause, Pahulus team seem to have thought that meant to get the 50k clause money + a 50k upgrade in 2025 so 100k all up, We offered the clause cash in his contract for 2025 but I guess not this extra 50k for an upgrade that we are only now hearing of.
Why do the club seem to have offered him not the right deal when talks have been going on (not the clause) or why do communications seem to have been off in these convos that whatever deal that was offered, wasn't right or would offend Pahulu when it seems pretty easy to avoid.
To me it seems a bit suss that now there's conveniently another 50k added to the media spin that isn't the clause money that he's apparently mad about? The club using the words "we won't be bullied" is pretty strong when involving negotiations and we've had some big ones lately and never said anything like that.

With an agent like that, we could have played him in that last round, he collects and STILL signs with the Bulldogs. It sounds like they asked for a $50k upgrade and are getting it. They made an incorrect assumption about the inevitability of the 20 game bonus. I'd encourage Josiah to think carefully about his representation once this blows over. If the same thing happened at the Bulldogs, Gould would ensure that the media painted him as greedy and unworthy.

Won’t be bullied nor be thrown under the media bus by commission agents … the Club mightn’t be perfect but in what world does anybody think they can get what they want by publicly ridiculing their employer?
That pissant amount of money won’t go anywhere in Sydney so it would seem Gus had done his thing. Whatever, he will have a year to reflect on the wisdom of it all.

Dion Teaupa who played 4 games for souths last year signed with the Ipswich Jets. A handy pick up from them but i dont see us needing another 5/8 for the rest of the season.

It doesn't make sense for us to release him early so I'm not too concerned.
Zero chance we release him this season. Why would we? Unless we get something really good in return there is no point.
Despite the blow up on this forum I’m pleased with how the club has conducted itself over the previous weeks. Just because Gus likes to play media games it does not mean we should. If Pahulu decides to leave after 2025 then so be it, we’ve got plenty of cover in that position.
It’s worth keeping in mind that the Bulldogs have been linked to pretty much every off contract player and have missed out on far more than they have signed.

CG needs at least half a season playing in the halves to see what we have there. It’s a huge transition. And those reps need to come in cup at most. Or else he’s an NRL centre right now, who’s doing some training work in the halves to prepare him for down the line. IMO. Then next year I hope we see CG explode as a half option once he’s more familiar with the game.

CG had one week of footage of him at 5/8th and Capras made his life hell tbf with Milford, The talent is very clearly there and Tweed sucked but CG was creating more issues then solving with his defence. He just looked better and more natural at centre IMO, He also had issues out there as well but we also witness BK every week so tackling low constantly seems the much lesser of two evils.
I'd probably be putting Jojo there before him but he could be great though and at centres there's nothing stopping him from having a roam to use his playmaking ability. There's still some good talent at both spots to compete with, Jumping HSS is pretty tough at the end of the day let alone JC/AJ.
AJ is an absolute stud despite the injuries.

Tonys been training and looks ripped as, They see him as a winger these days purely I think.
Jojo wants to be a centre and if he gets the hang of it could be the best in the world, I think it's still his best position long term and he has a bigger skillset then we've seen, He's always been kept on the wing besides a couple of chance at centre usually at NRL, He's played 1 game in cup there before he got recalled to the wing in NRL... He needs a solid crack and I think he has the potential to be the best centre in the league, He might be the best winger to but we got enough wingers who can be good enough IMO.
t this point it feels like he either gets a full pre season there or is a winger. It goes back to the first Broncos game this year, We were meant to have Francis on the wing with Jojo at centre but Jojo got sick, Who knows how that would've worked out, Maybe it could've shown us our right combo for years to come. What does Des want from the team and around field possession/defence, You can't pick a guy like Lofi for all his talents over Francis and complain when we can't get out of our own end, Francis stops a lot of that problem and honestly, He probably scores a lot of those tries but being a athletic 6'2 dude and running over them?
You want someone that can help the forwards save energy and defend our way to win easier? Francis is the winger and tbh I don't see how he doesn't score a lot of the same tries, It's why I can't get down with a lot of the complaints about depth when I'd argue we're nearly the deepest team in the league, Our top 17 aint it but we've got depth for days, Proof would be CG, you don't do something like that when 350k goes pretty far potentially with us unless you think this squad is a winner.
