I thought I remembered reading something about him missing the first few rounds next year. As usual, I hope I'm wrong.

If he's fit, I think he's our 7 to start, unless Weaver or JC brain it in preseason but I can't see that big of a change so quickly. When that finally happens, or if its Zane late in the season, we definitley want him around them but arguable if thats inside or outside the 17.

We're hoping CG comes on and plays some first grade this year. I'm hoping he and Brimo swap out from 6 to 3 (and BK is nowhere to be seen).

If Zane can play NRL this year, it'll be amazing but I think that's a very high expectation on a young player, no matter how good he is. We'd want to have a perfect 1-6 by that stage to take the pressure off and I can't see that happening (ever?). Hopefully he'll start the season for us in 2026.

I just shivered when I thought about our centre options. If CG is on the left (hopefully) and we're playing Jojo on the right wing, who is our right centre? I can't see us making the 8 until we have a good answer. My answer is Jojo with Tony on the wing but I'm told they're not thinking that way.

Disclaimer: As always, I don't know ANYTHING! It's all gut feel. I just like shootin the breeze with you guys.
 
I haven't given up hope on JC in the 6. He got thrown in there this year without a preseason in the position, and did alright but not outstanding. I think 2025 will be better to see if he belongs there especially doing drills with his left side 2nd Rower and defensive line reads in the preseason. I think he also has the ability to boot the ball downfield, but too often it's Foran taking the long kicks.

Agree with everyone else though we need to work out our spine sooner rather than later, and let them build on those combinations.

Ideal world it would be JC 7, AJ 6 and Kini 1. But I do have my apprehensions that they won't be able to control the tempo of the game, field positioning and clutch situations. They all prefer to play unstructured footy, which is great in shootout style game, not good for the grinding game the top teams like to play.

Does anyone know where AJ has been training in preseason?

Yeah so I saw RCG at about 630am this morning at Tallebudgera Creek.
So predictably he’s gone to live in the hipster part of the Coast.
But yeah up and about at 630am shows he is living a good clean early to bed lifestyle AND I totally agree he looked way slimmer than I expected.
