How I would grade each signing (not knowing salary):
Reagan Campbell-Gillard: A
Brodie Jones: A+
Ben Hunt: D
Big yes to RCG, he starts next to Tino and Moe for me, would be a pretty massive addition actually, and now our middle third would have more than enough size. Only reason I wouldn't grade it an A+ yet is purely due to how many years on his contract, not salary, but either way he still has some good footy left in him and hopefully it's with us.
Brodie Jones as a very very good third second-rower behind the Fs, and a guy that can start and do fine in some matchups.
Ben Hunt, unless Verrills moves back to Sydney and he comes here to play 9, I think would be actually a poor signing, he blocks a short-term pathway for Carter The God, and seriously muddies the Brimson-JC waters at 6, not to mention Hunt is like 35 right?? Yeah, wouldn't be good in the halves, but might be quite the difference at 9 although I love Sammy V. Would've rated this signing at least a B- if Foz wasn't returning.
Overall, get RCG, Brodie Jones, some big aggressive prop like Tof Sipley, snag an Adam Pompey or Marion Seve, with Tuki on a dev deal, BK sent into orbit, Carter Gordon I love you, and I would consider all of that to be a pretty solid off-season as far as improving the roster goes.
