After Dave ran 9 times for 49m for the Jets against the worst team in the comp, We need to sit him out before he bombs his value more haha, He also burnt his bridges with 2 clubs who might've taken him on last year.
Kini will get a mill, AJ might end up being a 700k a year centre, JC will be paid well whether he ends up in 5/8th or halfback if he keeps performing, CG is a wildcard for an upgrade depending on where he plays could be at least double what he's on, Jojo just had an upgrade from his first contract, Zane will be on decent coin for a rookie coming in with his rep and being a halfback in this environment.
What I'm getting at is there's a lot of money about to be allocated in certain positions that we haven't had to spend in our cap in the last few years. The only spine players who have gotten paid really are JC and AJ and they're going to get more or be in a spot where 700k is for the best and we haven't seen it from AJ.
I don't disagree about going out and recruiting but I reckon next year or more when things are actually real because reading the 10 players coming off, Basically all were depth at the start of the year and the only two who would've been on much more then a min are Foz and Kenny M.
I agree on most of the guys you mentioned + some others, I think we just have to be fairly realistic about the predicament the club has got itself into regarding the cap.

Compare DF stats with the Jets with Josh Patson.
DF: 9 runs, 58 metres, 17 post contact and 19 tackles.
JP: 13 runs, 110 metres, 37 post contact and 36 tackles.
Far better stats from Josh at a fraction of the cost.
Yes i believe there is disharmony between DF and Des and I would think there is wider discontent in the playing squad.

Tino’s tell during the post game presser said a lot I reckon. He seemed to be standing firm with Des.

I can see Fifita sliding further, stacking on some weight, and going the way of Dave Taylor who ended up at Rocky. Hopefully quickly so we can get hold of his cash and go and get some player in the 6,7 or 9 position that may rank in the top dozen in that position. None of ours do at the moment and you can't win games with most likely the worst spine in the comp.

I feel quite uncomfortable listening to the DF debate. He’s an enigma in my mind. An incredible talent, seems like a good bloke, doesn’t look out of shape, while on the field he looks lost rather than lazy and often under utilised. I am not so quick to put all the blame on him. I hope he stays and works his way out of this funk.
Last observation for now at least: our Premier on 360 did the Qld game proud with his obvious passion for and knowledge of our great game.

I noticed this as well.
I read the above news article and a short time later watched the press conference and it was very noticeable Tino nodding his head every time Des commented on DF.
After reading that article, DF’s comments and then watching the press conference, there is definitely something much more significant going on behind the scenes.
Whether he recaptures some form or not, it would be beneficial to us to offload him and spend the money on a decent half and centre.

That's an issue.
For reference.... Bitugane who's Cowboys developmental 19/20 year old prop in one of the first sets went for Dave and forced an error of a hit up smacking him with a couple of others... That's not the clubs fault and Dave did nothing to combat anything and just sat there and a team that has been up with characters like Hau, Iszac and Pahulu lost to the worst team in the comp.....
The premier being on 360 seems mighty convienient after liberal and sky news got flogged to heavens ahahahh, He's sensing he's gone after 1 term, that's it.

I think the issue is more for me, Dave was an incredible talent, He's not anymore.. He could barely defend ever and his explosivness is gone which I think everyone has noticed, Convenient his best game came against Sua who still out did him...'
We still got to pay him...... Till we don't.

DT reporting that Des Haslers contract has performance clauses in his contract and his contract can be terminated at the end of this year ( 2025 ) if the Titans don’t make the top 8.
