Tweed miss Corey’s influence a lot I think. Top tier dummy half’s make such a difference at MM level.
 
Good upset win for Ipswich. Their titans boys including the 7 all went well.

Tweed pay the price for resting Zane, Stevo, Taylan, Cooper and Ray. Still had enough quality out there to win but just didn’t show up
 
Leo Briggs was back at right centre for the Ipswich Jets in Round Six of the CC Cup against the Wide Bay Bulls and in just the 2nd minute from two passes to the right of the dummy half Leo Briggs ran down a right blindside from twenty eight to sixteen metres from his try line.

In the 8th minute from the right of the play the ball and twenty four metres from his try line Leo Briggs made twelve metres before receiving a penalty for a high tackle. Then in the 13th minute from a twenty metre tap restart Leo Briggs got the ball to the thirty two metre mark.

From the left of the play the ball but to the right of the posts Leo Briggs carried the ball from nine to twenty metres from his try line in the 6th minute and then from two passes to the right of a Jets scrum win in the 20th minute Leo Briggs ran from forty to forty six metres from the try line before off-loading to his right to his right winger. Also in the 36th minute from the left of a Ipswich scrum win Leo Briggs ran through the centre of the field from six to twenty two metres away from his try line.

After receiving an off-load from his left in the 43rd minute Leo Briggs ran the ball from thirty eight to within twenty four metres of the try line and then in the 54th minute from the right of the play the ball Leo Briggs got the ball from twenty to ten metres of the try line.
 
Jordan Hotere continued at five eight in Round Six against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Jordan Hotere recording a try assist in the 46th minute when after running the ball to the left of the play the ball from sixteen to eight metres from the try line Jordan Hotere straightened up his running line before throwing a smart short pass to his left to Majah Peachey who crashed over to score twelve metres to the left of the posts as a result.

Joran Hotere also made a half break in the 31st minute when after reaching forward to take the Tweed Heads second half kick-off on the first bounce seventeen metres from his try line Jordan Hotere veered to his left to run the ball down the left touchline to get to the thirty metre mark with Jordan Hotere just being caught by the back of his jersey.

From the left of the play the ball in the 7th minute Jordan Hotere initially looked inside before running himself from twenty to within nine metres of the try line. Also from the left of the play the ball in the 18th minute Jordan Hotere continued to run to his left to carry the ball from twenty eight to forty metres from his try line.
 
Majah Peachey continued at left second row in Round Six against the Redcliffe Dolphins with Majah Peachey scoring in the 46th minute when after running the ball to the left of the play the ball from sixteen to eight metres from the try line Jordan Hotere straightened up his running line before throwing a smart short pass to his left to Majah Peachey who crashed over to score twelve metres to the left of the posts as a result.

After running the ball down a short left blindside in the 5th minute from twenty to thirty six metres from his try line, Majah Peachey in the 16th minute ran down a short left blindside once again from sixteen to eleven metres from the try line when it looked as if he had been stopped but Majah Peachey made a second effort as he cut to his left to get within three metres of the try line.

From a 20th minute Wynnum Manly penalty restart thirty four metres from the try line Majah Peachey ran to his right towards the centre of the field and break four tackles as he ran within thirteen metres of the try line before being awarded a “six again”. Majah Peachey continued running left blindsides in the 26th minute to run from twenty six to thirty nine metres from his try line. Also from the tight of the play the ball but to the left of the posts in the 31st minute Majah Peachey ran from twenty nine to forty metres from the try line.

From two passes to the left of the play the ball in the Majah Peachey crashed and barged his way from twenty to forty one metres from the try line and then produced a lightening quick play the ball. Majah Peachey rounded out a strong match in the 49th minute with an underneath line with Majah Peachey pushing away from one defender before running towards the centre of the field to carry the ball form thirty two to twenty metres from the try line.
 
He may not have taken the field for the Tweed Heads Seagulls CC Cup side this year but keep an eye out for Dylan Terblanche this coming season's this young man who grew up playing rugby is going to be special in rugby league.
 
James Smith continued at five eight for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Six of the CC Cup in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears with James Smith kicking the first of his two conversions in the 6th minute to convert Jai Billish’s try from directly in front. James Smith then added a second conversion also from directly in front in the 12th minute to convert the first of Viliami Fifita’s two tries.

James Smith ran out of dummy half to his right in the 14th minute to carry the ball from twenty one to thirty two metres from his try line and then in the 20th minute after taking a Bears kick-off on the first bounce James Smith was able to get the ball out to the twenty metre mark.

In the 29th minute from the left of the play the ball James Smith ran from six metres inside his half to eight metres into the Bears and also in the 56th minute James Smith got the ball from the halfway to forty metres from the try line.

James Smith made a great low grassing try saving tackle in just the 3rd minute to cut down the Burleigh right centre just two metres from the try line and ten metres in from the left corner post.
 
Jai Billish continued at hooker and captain for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Six of the CC Cup in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Jai Billish scoring in the 6th minute with Jai Billish running out of dummy half to his left from three metes out and to the right of the posts with Jai Billish dummying to two inside runners before darting between two defenders to score under the posts.

Jai Billish also recorded a try assist in the 12th minute with Jia Billish running out of dummy half to his left to bring Viliami Fifita back underneath to crash over to score under the posts.

Jai Billish recorded a second try assist in the 42nd minute with Jai Billish running to his left out of dummy half from four metres out after shaping to pass to his right, Jai Billish found Viliami Fifita with a pass to his left to crash over to score eleven metres to the left of the posts.
 
Nathan Fraser started at halfback for the Ipswich Jets in Round Seven of the MM Cup against the Tweed Heads Seagulls with Nathan Fraser kicking the match winning penalty goal to break a 24 all tie in the 65th minute from sixteen metres out and ten metres to the left of the posts.

Earlier Nathan Fraser kicked a perfect four from four conversions with the first coming in the 11th minute from ten metres to the left of the posts and then kicked his second in the 14th minute from six metres to the right of the uprights. Nathan Fraser kicked a third conversion in the 21st minute from directly in front and made it four conversions in the 24th minute from ten metres to the left of the goal posts.

Nathan Fraser ran the ball in the 38th minute from the right of the dummy half to carry the ball from twenty to within seven metres of the try line just to the right of the goal posts.
 
Viliami Fifita continued in the front row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Six of the CC Cup in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears with Viliami Fifita scoring in the 12th minute with Jia Billish running out of dummy half to his left to bring Viliami Fifita back underneath to crash over to score under the posts.

Viliami Fifita scored a second try in the in the 42nd minute with Jai Billish running to his left out of dummy half from four metres out after shaping to pass to his right, Jai Billish found Viliami Fifita with a pass to his left to crash over to score eleven metres to the left of the posts.

In the 6th minute from the right of the play the ball Viliami Fifita got the ball from twenty to nine metres from the try line and then in the 8th minute from the left of the dummy half Viliami Fifita carried the ball from twenty to thirty four metres from his try line. Two minutes later in the 10th minute from the right of the play the ball Viliami Fifita got the ball from ten metres inside his half to six metres into the Bears with 75% of the metres gained being post contact.

A minute later in the 11th minute from the left of the play the ball and thirty metres from the try line Viliami Fifita made eleven metres to nineteen metres out and then in the 14th minute from the right of the play the ball Viliami Fifita ran from twenty eight to forty two metres from the try line. Viliami Fifita rounded out a strong match in the 39th minute from the left of the play the ball to run from thirty seven to twenty five metres from the try line.

Viliami Fifita’s performance saw him named in the front row in the Round Mail 2025 CCCup Round Six Team of the Week. Viliami Fifita was also named the Tweed Heads Seagulls Pathways Player of the Week.

Kalani Patu continued at left second front row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in the Round Six of the CC Cup in the local derby against the Burleigh Bears and in the 6th minute after receiving the ball wide on the left side of the field Kalani Patu produced a good right foot step to easily beat one defender to make a line break from forty to fourteen metres from the try line near the left touchline after having his head gear ripped off.

From two passes to the left of the play the ball in the 31st minute Kalani Patu ran the ball from twenty to thirty three metres from his try line and then a minute later in the 33rd minute after running an underneath line to get the ball from forty three to thirty three metres from the try line. Also in the 44th minute from the left of the play the ball and ten metres from his try line Kalani Patu was able to make ten metres.
