JTS 2025

The Tweed Heads Seagulls MM Cup side will be tough to beat as they look to go back to back in 2025, not only are the majority of the 2024 side backing up such as Sam Stephenson, Zane and Isaac Harrison, Zac Kumbamong etc, they are joined by the likes of Ray Puru, Sunny Kama, Brodhi Sharpley, Cooper Bai and Javon Andrews.

Also moving up from the CC Cup are Devin Bates-Wellington, Torino Jackson and a number of others.

After making his GPS School Boy Rugby First XV debut for TSS in 2024 at blindside flanker and playing the entire season there, Viliami Fifita may well be on the move to No. 8 this year.

We've signed Jonah Bell, Plays for Wavell SHS in Renouf cup this year who won the comp so just turning 15 this year I think? Looks physically a bit like JFH, Maybe a bit taller.

The 13 in the the same side plays with him at Wavell as well and he might be the biggest 14 year old I've ever seen, He does the kicking as well hahaha.

Nice I’ll check him out

Loved the SIX60 feature on the instagram post about him signing lol

I really like what I've seen from Mairangiatea Walker and a lot of it's on the defensive side of things. He hits really well whether in the centres or middle as a utility, He keeps his feet moving late to stay in front of his man till he's got to make the tackle and most times make the correct decision and obviously is very strong despite being a bit on the smaller side (Similar size to Sunny Kama). Might be a rough comparison due to how he's seen here but he reminds me of BK with the ball, Great ability at being able to draw the opposition winger in + can play on both sides.

Caught up with Ryders season in A grade and was very impressed. Was surprised at how physically willing he was but compared to him at Tweed MM it was night and day in how much he was involved. At times they would throw him in the middle to defend and he handled it really well. It was nice to see him in that role compared to Tweed where he just sat on the left, Was a good reminder of how talented he actually is.

A few Titans will collide when the Burleigh and Ipswich CC and MM squads play a trial against each other in early February.

Found another prop signed for 3 years, Sam Fahlstrom, He's been teammates with Jonty Coutts at Atherton and was another offered a Rockhampton scholarship through us, Played in the Peninsula 15s as well this year, Can't find him in any CC squads though.

Watching a bit of him and I really like what I'm seeing, Very good work rate on both sides of the ball, looks an athlete for his size and can hit with both shoulders.

In early 2025 front rower Jonah Bell signed a multi-year contract with the Titans.

In 2024 Jonah Bell played for Wavell SHS in the School Boy Rugby League Renouf Cup competition.

2024 also saw Jonah Bell play for the Aspley Devils in the GBJRL U14 Division One competition including starting in the front row in the Devils 20 -14 Grand Final victory against the Albany Creek Crushers.

In addition to the Grand Final Jonah Bell played twelve more match in the GBJRL U14 Division competition starting all in the front row with his first appearance coming in Round Two against Logan Brothers. Jonah Bell finished with three tries including a double in Round Seven against the Souths Magpies with Jonah Bell also scoring in Round Nine against the Easts Tigers.

Can see Hauriki being a big part of the Tweed CC and guessing he'll play lock but can play anywhere in the forwards, Reminds me of Josh Curran but a little taller, Has great balance/footwork for a big guy and a motor to go all day to tackle his ass off and can find an offload, Will be turning 17 so not as much of a project for that age but has some serious potential from what I've seen. Won MVP in the NZ u16s clubs vs schools, Adam Blair was commentating on the game and said he was a big fan from previously seeing him in the Warriors trials when he was involved with juniors there, Said his competitiveness is what he liked.

Lewis Mcdermid is a goon with his own body on the wing, All knees and elbows with some serious pace in the clear, BIG fan from the little I've seen and think he's going to be talked about a lot going forward into the future, Ashton from what I've seen will let the game come to him way more due to probably being an outright centre but physically has the same tools.

Little highlight package of Fynn Lafranchi featuring Murphy Phillips.

Murphy has every skill in the book, A bit of Foz about him where he is willing to get wacked and he gets back up every time but IMO his skillset is basically Sam Walker, Hasn't got the biggest boot but he can kick goals from a way out so I think it's more a pure age/development thing when he's deeper into games from what I've seen, There's going to be a lot of highlight plays from him over the coming years.

Taylan To'o will start the 2025 season with the Wynnum Manly MM Cup squad and is MM Cup eligible in 2026.

Scary to think how good he is at such a young age with the Titans inviting him to train with NRL squad prior to Christmans.

It is terrifying for other schools that he will line up in the Langer Cup for Marsden SHS this year.

A massive talent.

Looks likely that the Titans will have comfortably more contracted in Keebra Park SHS's Langer Cup side this year than other NRL club even though they are no longer partnered with us. The Titans could easily have four or five starters for Keebra Park SHS when the 2025 Langer Cup competition gets underway.
