Leo Briggs starts in the centres for Souths Juniors this weekend in Round Three of the GBKRU 15 Division One competition against Easts.
 
Jimmy McCombie started at hooker for the Byron Bay Devils in Round One of the 2025 NRRRL First Grade competition against the Evans Heads Bombers with Jimmy McCombie making a smart play in the 78th minute with a deft one on one strip of the ball thirty eight metres from his own try line with Jimmy McCombie then running to his left to within five metres of the try line before off-loading to Jesse Soric.

Jimmy McCombie also started at hooker in Round Two against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Jimmy McCombie scoring his first try of his NRRRL First Grade career.
 
Jesse Soric started at halfback for the Byron Bay Devils in Round One of the 2025 NRRRL First Grade competition against the Evans Heads Bombers with Jesse Soric scoring in the 8th minute when whilst defending twelve metres from his own try line and to the left of the play the ball Jesse Soric was able to trap a Bombers grubber kick with his right foot and then after picking up the ball ran eighty eight metres to put the ball down ten metres in from the left corner post.

In the 45th minute after running out of dummy half to his left from five metres in his own half Jesse Soric put in a left foot chip kick and was able to regather his own kick thirty five metres from the try line but his second kick was not as effective.

After receiving an off-load from Jimmy McCombie in the 78th minute Jesse Soric was able to get the ball from five metres inside his half to ten metres into Evans Head territory.
 
Elliott Farrell started on the left wing for the Byron Bay Devils in Round One of the 2025 NRRRL First Grade competition against the Evans Heads Bombers with Elliott Farrell kicking an 80th minute conversion from two metres to the right of the posts. Elliott Farrell could have kicked an earlier conversion in the 57th minute but his effort from ten metres in from the right touchline hit the left post and bounced away.

From the left of a Byron Bay scrum win in the 23rd minute Elliott Farrell ran from three to thirteen metres from his try line and then in the 26th minute from two passes to the left of a Devils scrum win another Elliott Farrell yardage effort saw him move the ball from five to sixteen metres from his try lien with Elliott Farrell backing his way the last three metres. Also in the 38th minute Elliott Farrell ran out of dummy half to his left to move the ball from sixteen to twenty eight metres from the try line.

After taking a kick on the full in the in-gaol in the 42nd minute Elliott Farrell did well to get the ball out to the thirty one metre mark after taking the twenty metre tap and then in the 69th minute from the left of the play the ball Elliott Farrell ran from sixteen to twenty seven metres from the try line. Finally in the 74th minute also from the left of the play the ball Elliott Farrell was able to promote the ball from thirty to forty two metres from the try line.
 
Isaac Harrison has been named on the bench for the Bilambil Jets NRRRL Reserve Grade side in tomorrows Round Four match against the Murwillumbah Mustangs and is then set to start from the bench in the First Grade match against the same opponent.
 
Aiden Gersh is set to start from the bench on the weekend for the Mullumbimby Giants in Round Four of the NRRRL U18 competition against the Kyogle Turkeys.
 

Goal kicking OB. This is old footage. How good is the phone camera quality highlights footage haha.

Clearly too good for the Chch league so tough to get a gauge. What I like seeing is his ability to change ball carrying hands on the go. It’s a union skill that league players for whatever reason just don’t seem to develop, pains me.
 
Noah Mariner started in the front row for the Coomera Cutters in Round One of the 2025 GCRL U15 Division One competition against the Runaway Bay Seagulls with Noah Mariner scoring in the 15th minute with a charge from six metres out to the left of the play the ball to crash over to score next to the left goal post.
 
Noah Te Kiri started at hooker for the Coomera Cutters in Round One of the 2025 GCRL U15 Division One competition against the Runaway Bay Seagulls with Noah Te Kiri recording the first of his two try assists in the 15th minute with a great bullet cut out pass to his left out of dummy half from three metres from the try line to Noah Mariner who crashed over to score just to the left of the posts.

Noah Te Kiri recoded his second try assist in the 51st minute with another cut-out pass to his right out of dummy half to Marko Pauli who crashed over to score from six metres out and eight metres to the right of the goal posts.
 
Sam Fahlstrom starts in the front row tonight for the Rocky Tigers in Round Ten of the Rockhampton JRL U16 competition against Cap Coast.
In a tough loss for his team Sam Fahlstrom was one of his team's try scorers and then he backed up to start from the bench later in the night for the U17's against the same opponent.
 
Jackson Hapley starts in the second row today for Toowoomba Valleys in Round Two of the Toowoomba Junior Rugby League U17 competition against the Gatton Hawks.
 
Nelson Makaafi starts at left second row this afternoon for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Four of the GCRL U18 Division competition against the Coomera Cutters.
 
Jyah White continues at five eight and captain for the Helensvale Hornets tomorrow in Round Four of the GCRL U18 Division One competition against the Southport Tigers.

Billy Tonkin started at left second row for the Burleigh Bears in Round One of the GCRL U20 competition against the Helensvale Hornets and scored the first of his two tries in the 29th minute when he picked up a Hornets dropped ball and race ninety metres untouched to score under the posts.

Billy Tonkin completed his double in the 69th minute when he backed up a line break down the left touchline and then received a pass from his right twenty metres out with Billy Tonkin then able to bring the ball around to score under the posts.

In the 6th minute after receiving an off-load from Sam McAlister, Billy Tonkin ran through the centre of the field from twenty to thirty four metres from the try line. Then in the 13th minute from a Bears penalty restart Billy Tonkin ran from forty six to thirty two metres from the try line. Also in the 35th minute a strong run from another Bears penalty restart thirty two metres from his try line saw Billy Tonkin smash through four would be defenders as crashed and barged his way to thirty eight metres from the try line.

Billy Tonkin made a good kick-off return in the 53rd minute to get the ball to the thirty five metre mark near the left touchline and in the 60th minute after receiving a pass from his right Billy Tonkin surged down the left channel from thirty six metres from his try line to five metres inside Helensvale territory.

Billy Tonkin’s performance saw him named in the second row in the Burleigh Bears Team of the Week.
 
Round One of the 2025 GCRL First Grade competition saw Junior Filimaua start from the bench for the Tugun Seahawks against the Runaway Bay Seagulls and after coming onto the field in the 21st minute to play at right centre Junior Filimaua ran onto the ball to the right of the play the ball to run from twenty three to thirty four metres from the try line. Then in the 32nd minute also from the right of the play the ball Junior Filimaua ran from twenty one to thirty three metres from the try line.

From the right of the play the ball once again in the 40th minute Junior Filimaua ran from thirty to forty one metres out. Then in the 42nd minute from the right of the play the ball Junior Filimaua ran through the centre of the field from the halfway to forty metres from the try line. Also in the 54th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Junior Filimaua ran from ten metres inside his half to twelve metres into the Seagulls.
 
Lennox Whaiapu started in the front row for the Burleigh Bears in the 2025 CC Cup Grand Final against the Mackay Cutters and in the 5th minute from the left of the play the ball Lennox Whaiapu ran from thirty two to forty six metres from his try line.

From the right of the play the ball in the 9th minute Lennox Whaiapu carried the ball through the centre of the field from five metres inside his half to five metres into the Cutters. Then in the 14th minute from two passes to the left of the dummy half Lennox Whaiapu ran from thirty one to forty four metres from his try line.

From an underneath line to the left of the play the ball Lennox Whaiapu ran from forty one to thirty one metres from the try line and then in the 55th minute after receiving an off-load from his left Lennox Whaiapu carried the ball through the centre of the field from forty to twenty six metres from the try line.

Lennox Whaiapu’s performance over the course of the season saw him receive a Special Mention in the 2025 Courier Mail CC Cup Team of the Year discussions.
 
Treleque Boyce-Silimaka started at left second row for the Burleigh Bears in the 2025 CC Cup Grand Final against the Mackay Cutters with Treleque Boyce-Silimaka coming close to scoring in the 21st minute from ten metres out and to the left of a Bears restart only to be held up over the try line nine metres in from the left corner post.

The 15th minute saw Treleque Boyce-Silimaka carry the ball down a short left blindside from five metres inside his half to seven metres into the Cutters. Also in the 25th minute from wide on the left side of the field Treleque Boyce-Silimaka ran from thirty to twenty metres from the try line.

Treleque Boyce-Silimaka’s performance over the course of the season saw him named as an Out of the Box Performer in the 2025 Courier Mail CC Cup Team of the Year discussions.
