JTS 2025

The GPS School Boy Rugby competition has and is producing some outstanding talent for the Titans and this season whilst he may start the season for Ipswich Grammar School in the U16A competition do not be surprised if Leo Briggs forces his way into First XV discussions.

Even though he will be only 15 this year I anticipate the Max Imrie will be a key member of the PBC SHS Walters Cup side regardless of whether he starts at hooker or half.

Mairangiatea Walker was deservedly named on the wing in the 2024 Walters Cup Team of the Year and in 2025 the Marsden SHS coaches will be hard pressed to keep him out of the Langer Cup side.

Kalani Patu and Santio Pekepo-Tevaga finished the 2024 Langer Cup season in the Keebra Park semi-final side with both set to be stand outs in 2025 in the Langer Cup in 2025.

Torino Jackson and Devin Bates-Wellington made their Langer Cup debuts in 2024 for PBC SHS and both are set to make even bigger contributions in 2025.

Titans contracted twins Ashton and Lewis McDermid made their presence felt in their first season at TSS in the U15A competition and while both will likely start the 2025 season in the U16A competition both will push for First XV selection as the 2025 GPS School Boy Rugby season progresses.

Wavell SHS have been there or there abouts in the Langer Cup in recent seasons but with Jordan Hotere likely to be directing the team around the field in 2025 they will be looking to match it with the likes of PBC SHS and Marsden SHS.

Tyson MacDonald was one of the best players in the Langer Reserve competition in 2024 and no doubt this season he moves up to the Langer Cup for Mabel Park SHS.

Majah Peachey had a huge first season in the second row in the Langer Cup in 2024 and he will be even better in 2025 for Mabel Park SHS.

Well done to Finn Laffranchi and Murphy Phillips for being named in the 2025 U16 Australian Oztag Tagaroo's side.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu is starting at left centre today for the Brisbane Tigers CC Cup side in their second 2025 trial. Also Julius Matiseni is starting on the right wing and Kingzen Lefono at left second row.

Murphy Phillips was a step ahead in the cc game from what I saw playing 6 but only saw the second, got pulled and once Bears pulled ahead then Tweed put back on the starters and came back a bit.

None of the NRL squad players are in the MM team.

Gotta say, Everytime I've watched Taj Lateo he's great, He was controlling and dominating and Billy Wellard I still think needs to be signed especially if we're signing Issac..... Maybe I'm an idiot but that dude is it. He hits and does stuff that makes up for it all.

In late 2024 Jonty Coutts was named in the 2025 Central Queensland Capra’s U17 CC Cup squad and Jonty Coutts is also CC Cup eligible in 2026 with Jonty Coutts starting from the bench in the second trial against the Mackay Cutters today.

The quality of the Titans U17's win over the Newcastle Knights a couple of weeks ago is now even more impressive when you take into account that the Knights led late in Round One of the Harold Matthews Cup Round One match against the Parramatta Eels yesterday only to lose to a very late try.

Well done Titans U17's.

Murphy was pretty quiet mate. Not sure if you’ve got the right player. Cornelius looked a fair bit sharper in the first half at 6.

Yes I agree not much from Murphy or the other Harvey. Sam was the best of the seagulls halves with a couple looking lost in defense/structure.
Wind probably influence kicking games though.
