Jack Hudson started at hooker for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Eleven of the GCRL FIrst Grade competition against the Southport Tigers with Jack Hudson scoring the match winning try in the 78th minute with a dart out of dummy half to his left from a metre out to burrow his way over to score ten metres to the left of the goal posts.
 
Corey Pearce started from the bench for the Beenleigh Pride in Round Thirteen of the BRL First Grade competition against Carina with Corey Pearce coming onto the field to operate at dummy half in the 33rd minute with Corey Pearce running out of dummy half to his left and after also dummying to his left Corey Pearce ran the ball from ten metres inside his half to ten metres into Carina’s half. Then in the 55th minute Corey Pearce also ran out of dummy half to his left from thirty four to forty five metres from his try line.
 
Jasper and Ryker Filewood will represent South West Swans U14 touch at the National Youth Touch Championships starting today in Coffs Harbour.
 
Murphy Phillips has been selected in the U16 South Queensland Sharks side for the upcoming National Youth Touch Championships to be held in Coffs Harbour.
 
2024 saw Tyler Pereira play for Iona College in the Confraternity Sheild School Boy Rugby League competition with Tyler Pereira starting all three of Iona College’s matches against Emmanus College Rockhampton, St Edmunds College and St Mary’s College Toowoomba at fullback.
 
2024 saw Jye Watton play for Marymount College in the Confraternity Sheild School Boy Rugby League competition with Jye Watton starting all three of Marymount College’s matches against Shalom College, Ignatius Park and Ct Patrick’s College Shorncliffe in the front row and as captain.

At the conclusion of the competition Jye Watton was named in the 2024 Confraternity Shield Merit Team as well as being named Marymount College’s Best Player.
 
2024 saw Xhai Waerea line up for the Burleigh Bears in the GCRL U16 Division One competition with Xhai Waerea starting in the centres in Round One against Runaway Bay before starting in the front row in the remaining regular season matches before moving back to the centres in Week One of the Finals against the Tugun Seahawks.

Across the season Xhai Waerea scored a double in the Week One Finals match against Tugun and Xhai Waerea also scored in Round Three against the Coomer Cutters and Round Nine against the Southport Tigers.
 
2024 saw Lennox Whaiapu line up in the front row for the Burleigh Bears in the GCRL U16 Division One competition with Lennox Whaiapu scoring a double in the Preliminary Final against the Southport Tigers with Lennox Whaiapu also scoring in Round Ten against the Runaway Bay Seagulls and Round Fourteen against the Tugun Seahawks.
 
Jye Watton also started at right second row in Round Three against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls with Jye Watton scoring in the 68th minute with an easy two metre from a pass from his right from his right winger to put the ball down four metres in from the right corner post.

Earlier in the 14th minute Jye Watton ran the ball down the right channel from three passes to the right of the play the ball to carry the ball from nineteen to thirty one metres from his try line.
 
Brock Lennox has been named in the 2024 Queensland Universities Rugby League side out of QUT where he is studying a Bachelor of Science and a Marsters of Teaching.

 
2024 saw Leo Briggs return to the Souths Acacia Ridge Magpies in the GBJRL U15 Division One competition with Leo Briggs starting at left centre and scoring in Round Three against the Brisbane Tigers.

Leo Briggs also scored in Rounds Five and Ten against Norths, Round Six against Redcliffe and Round Eleven against the Burpengary Jets.

Leo Briggs started the season at left centre before moving to five eight.
 
In 2024 Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu played his club rugby league for the Souths Acacia Ridge Magpies in the GBJRL U16 Division One competition and after the Magpies had a Round One bye Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu started in the second row and scored a double in a big 54 – 8 victory against Logan Brothers.

Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu also scored in Week Two of the Finals against Logan Brothers as well as the Preliminary Final against Norths. Jahzayis Perenara-Livapulu also started in the second row in the Grand Final against Wynnum Manly.
 
In 2024 Tyson MacDonald played his club rugby league for the Souths Acacia Ridge Magpies in the GBJRL U16 Division One competition and after the Magpies had a Round One bye Tyson MacDonald started in the second row and scored in a big 54 – 8 victory against Logan Brothers.

Tyson MacDonald also started in the second row and scoring once again in Round Three against the Brisbane Tigers with Tyson MacDonald also scoring in Round Five against the Aspley Devils. The Grand Final saw Tyson MacDonald start in the second row against Wynnum Manly.
 
2024 saw Tyler Pereira line up for Redlands in the BRL U19 Division One competition even though he was still U17 eligible with Tyler Pereira starting at both fullback and five eight. Over the course of the season Tyler Pereira scored six tries and kicked a conversion in Round Four against the Moreton Bay Raiders.

Tyler Pereira scored in Rounds Six and Thirteen against Souths Sunnybank, Round Five and the Elimination Final against Wynnum Manly, Round Eight against Carina and Round Fourteen against the Valleys Diehards.
 
Tyler Pereira played for Iona College in the Association of Independent Schools (AIC) first XIII competition with Tyler Pereira starting all six of Iona College’s matches at fullback with Tyler Pereira finishing as the competitions leading try scorer with nine tries.

Tyler Pereira scored a staggering four tries in Round Seven against St Patricks College Shorncliffe and doubles in Rounds Two and Four against St Edmunds College and Padua College respectively.

At the conclusion of the competition Tyler Pereira was named at fullback in the 2024 AIC First XIII Courier Mail Team of the Year.
 
Nelson Makaafi started at right second row for the Currumbin Eagles in Round Ten of the U18 GCRL Division One competition against the Helensvale Hornets and in the 2nd minute after running an underneath line to the right of the play the ball Nelson Makaafi got the ball from thirty four to eighteen metres from the try line.

From the right of the play the ball in the 8th minute a Nelson Makaafi right foot step enabled him to carry the ball from eighteen to twenty eight metres from the try line. Then in the 36th minute from another underneath line to the right of the play the ball (two passes) Nelson Makaafi broke two tackles including running straight over the top of one defender to get the ball from thirty to eighteen metres from the try line.

After picking up a poor Currumbin pass in the 45th minute Nelson Makaafi did well to get the ball to within ten metres of the try line after breaking three tackles in an eleven metre run. Also in the 57th minute Nelson Makaafi ran the ball through the centre of the field from two passes to the right of a Currumbin scrum win and fifteen metres from is try line Nelson Makaafi was seemingly stopped by two defenders just three metres into his run but broke clear and then broke two more tackles on a run out to the forty metre mark.

Nelson Makaafi did well defensively in the 12th minute when along with Dylan Watkins and Brodie Saunders, Nelson Makaafi held up the Hornets dummy half No. 9 near the right goal post after he had tried to sneak over the try line out of dummy half.
 
Brock Lennox continued at left centre for the Runaway Bay Seagulls in Round Ten of the GCLR U20 competition against the Burleigh Bears with Brock Lennox recording a try assist in the 38th minute when after carrying the ball wide on the left from forty to thirty four metres from the try line Brock Lennox got a good pass away to his left under pressure to put his winger away down the left touchline.

Brock Lennox made the third hit-up of the match from the right of the play the ball through the centre of the field from twenty to thirty four metres from his try line, Brock Lennox also ran the ball through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball in the 11th minute to promote the ball from ten to twenty metres from his try line.

Brock Lennox broke three tackles in a strong effort to the right of the dummy half in the 13th minute to carry the ball from ten metres inside his half to three metres into Burleigh territory. Also in the 23rd minute wide on the left side of the field and thirty four metres from the try line Brock Lennox ran the ball nine metres before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to allow his left winger to make substantial ground down the touchline.

In the 29th minute after running an underneath line to the left of the play the ball and twenty metres from the try line Brock Lennox made it to within six metres of the try line in from of the left goal post. Then in the 60th minute a run to the left of the play the ball enabled Brock Lennox to make twelve metres from nineteen metres away from his try line.
 
Jordan Hotere started at halfback for a Future Titans U16 side that defeated a Storm squad 36 – 22 on Wednesday evening with Jordan Hotere recording a try assist in the second period of the match when from twenty five metres from the try line and to the left of the play the ball Jordan Hotere executed a great show and go to break the defensive line and then just out from the try line Jordan Hotere produced a great left arm off-load to his right to Jai Billish who dived over to score next to the left goal post.

Jordan Hotere also forced a Storm goal line drop-out in the opening period with a smart left foot grubber (with the outside of his left foot) into the in-goal with Jordan Hotere the first Titan downfield to tackle the Storm fullback in-goal.

Jordan Hotere made an immediate impression on the match when his left foot kick-off to his right to get the match underway proving too much for the Storm with the kick-off dropped and bounced over the touchline five metres from the try line.
