JTS to NRL; the Titans juniors transition lounge

Great stuff, mdrew. He doesn't sound too far off. Good to hear Ngamanu is playing well too. Do you see him on a Dev contract soon?

Kaleb is an interesting one, he has shown that he is a more than capable QCup player and has trained the last two off seasons with the Titans, I think that he is capable of being a solid NRL winger, hopefully he gets a chance to prove it.

Heck Arama Hau has got some unbelievable potential.

On the attacking side of the ball he's already NRL ready IMO, And we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg in terms of what he can do there. Without it, he's got work to do still, but he's still the closest to NRL out of him, Seth and R Foran.

Jaylan is trying his heart out in a pretty terrible side and I really do think he's got NRL in him eventually. It will be interesting to see whether they find a way to keep him beyond this year.

Yep agree Kaleb has parts to his game that I reckon could translate to NRL. Solid is a good word to describe his game. I'm not sure we have capacity to take him on with such a young core of OB's + Stevo coming through though. And then you've got Jaylan who is yet to be re-signed but has versatility on his side.

I assume Stevo is going Dev next year but I wonder if Sunny Kama is doing pre-season t&t. You heard anything?

Titans have taken up their club option for Jaylan for 2025 so will be top 30 next year

It’s actually pretty tough to watch the Ipswich side so ill disciplined and play with very poor attacking structure hard for our boys to get quality footy in cup… you can feel the frustration through the TV 😂

Thanks for the insight mate - much appreciated. Happy to hear that for Jaylan.

Oh yeah 100%. It looks like they’re playing their first game together every single week with trial game levels of cohesion. Painful

Ryder Williams will start at halfback today for the Southport Tigers in Round Six of the GCRL First Grade competition against the Currumbin Eagles.

Heard last week in the coverage when they played Norths that Ipswich have already used 38 players this year in cup, pretty sure they had another player debut yesterday also…

Must be extremely tough to create any sort of cohesion within that..

Hopefully Ryder brains it for Southport. If he's good enough, could he go and get Ipswich into gear? Or is it too chaotic for a young gun?

Ryder is a very confident young man thus I do not think that a difficult situation would bent his confidence one bit.

He’s with Tweed MT

My thoughts are to just throw him into cup and get him on that steep learning curve. He’ll struggle but follow the Broncos approach with Coby Black (who’s had a poor season at MM level btw) - get him going at cup level and find out how far they really are from NRL

Sunny Kama with a first half double for PBC SHS in Round Two of the Langer Cup against Redcliffe SHS.

Ryder Williams with his first GCRL First Grade try this afternoon after starting at halfback for Southport in Round Seven against Burleigh

Zane Harrison (NSW) and Sam Stpehenson (Qld) will line up for their respective states in the U19 State of Origin match to be played next week as a curtain raiser to the third Women's State of Origin match.

Sam Stephenson will start in the centres and Cooper Bai from the bench for the Qld U19 side with Zane Harrison in the No. 14 jersey for NSW.
