JTS to NRL; the Titans juniors transition lounge

Great win and they really did look the better team. I was relieved for Hartmann to make that awesome steal for the winning try after he had dropped Harrison's cross field kick and bombed what could have been the winning try. Was hugely impressed by both Harrisons. Zane is a class above that level of competition and his brother has a lot of Carl Webb about him with a bit more skill. Lots of talent there.

Here's a thought. Why not invite all the Gold Coast schools to attend these games in the future for a nominal fee like $1 and fill the stands.

For anyone wondering, Titans system players at PBC include:

Zane Harrison (full time NRL 2025)
Sam Stephenson (full time NRL 2025)
Ray Puru
Sunny Kama
Beau Heartmann
Isaac Harrison
Torino Jackson
Jai Bilish

A couple others that I might’ve missed too will leave it with mdrew to fill in the blanks

No doubt Zane was pom. He controlled the game well, played both sides of the ruck and his kicking game was immaculate. Another 2 tries from kicks from Zane probably should have been scored.
Others who stood out were Puru and Isaac.
The one who really impressed me was Tamariki. He was immense on the edge and ran great lines to score 2 tries. HS says he is unsigned but this kid can really play and I would moving quick to sign him up.

Absolutely crazy scenes. Hartmann jumps over his winger to catch a Harrison bomb 30 out and runs off to score the match winner

PBC win the national title

Jealous that you were there to experience that @Whats Doing
If ever there was an identical try scored by Steve Gearin in the 1980 grand final, it was Hartmanns sensational try from a Zane Harrison bomb with less than 2 minutes to go to give PBC a much deserved victory.

This try will be on the highlight reels for years.

Really appreciate your commentary of the game today WD. What an awesome spectacle to be able to watch in person.
It really was a fantastic game to watch live by 2 really high quality sides.
It is not a biased call but PBC were the better side and it would have been an injustice should they have lost.
It was pulsating stuff seeing PBC lift in the last 10 minutes when they were 8 behind to clinch victory with a try for the ages. Even my wife was roaring with the excitement

lol@WD you're 100% biased but also 100% correct ... I just watched the game again and Blacktown's 13 and 6 went ok in patches but the rest were at best willing. PBC however looked up for it from the start and what impressed me most was that they didn't seem to panic when the crowd did, lol.

Probably not the best place to put this but PBC are starting their school girls rugby league program next year and have recruited Ipswich Schoolgirls coach who won the national schoolgirls title today to develop their program.

Smart move by PBC which in turn can only help the Titans NRLW team down the track.

Website says Tyler Pereira has signed.. He played for Wynum CC and I remember him with Hotere from the Tweed CC game this year and those two cooking Tweed.

Dallas Ingram coming back from an 18th month injury into CC where he struggled at times into his season at TSS is incredible.

He's got to grow in his shoulders is the one thing I noticed haha but once he does that I think the sky is the limit potentially, You don't get guys with his skillset passing/offloading with the athleticism at that height. He's a bit of a unicorn IMO, I can't remember a player ever with his quickness/height and attributes.

Just needs to keep working but he's going to be something else, He looks like Tino body wise and aggression, Defence with ball playing skills and an offload....

Yeah he’s a rare athlete. Didn’t quite get the accolades of the likes of Zane and Stevo because he didn’t go to a big school but I honestly think he’s the closest to NRL of them 3. WD has seen a fair bit of him playing too so could give a good assessment.

Goes to another level whenever he pulls on a titans jersey too (at least for the age group sides he did).

Hope we’re patient with his development.

Yeah I have seen Cooper quite s few times this year.

I think he has the highest ceiling of all of our juniors including Zane and Stephenson.

He reminds me of Yeo and is a real modern day lock. He has an extremely high workrate on both sides of the ball, makes good carries, strong in defence, and has a great offload.

He certainly has a skillset higher than any other forward in his age group IMO and I have no doubt he will be one of the Titans real success stories.
