JTS to NRL; the Titans juniors transition lounge

The Tweed Heads Seagulls 2025 MM Cup side looks terrifying on paper. In addition to all of the main players return from their 2024 success such as Zane Harrison and Sam Stephenson, the likes of Titans Cooper Bai, Javon Andrews and Bodi Sharpley have been named.

A few 2024 CC Cup stand out such as Torino Jackson, Devin Bates-Wellington, Nelson Makaafi and Santino Pepeko-Tevaga move up a level too.

Rolling out a similar squad to the undefeated 2024 group + adding Ray Puru, Cooper Bai, Sunny Kama, Javon Andrews and Bodhi should have them in good stead. I’d say Zane & Stevo will play MM season next year too before going to cup.

Wish they’d just promote Jai Bil to MM. He’s more than capable and seems like a waste having him run around in what could again be a struggling Tweed CC side.

Will be watching Easts MM with particular interest as well to see how Harrison Hill goes. Seems the club has backed him over Pearse.

I liked Burleigh’s squad too tbh.

The Tweed team is ridiculous.

My only guess with Billish staying with the 17s is it'd be a bit of a shit show with out him more then it can be at times and keeping him with that group at least gives them someone to kind of rally around.

If Joseph is Mason Barbers brother lets not miss out on him.

Yeah you’re right about Bil but I really want his development to be prioritised and him playing the highest level of football possible

Although maybe there’s an argument that playing CC is better for him to apply his leadership etc with that group

Sam Stephenson starting at left centre today for the Australian School Boys against the French U19's.

and a good strong try at left centre 26-0 at more than a point a minute ... commentary very ordinary

sending the French player to the bin on a technicality is pretty poor in a game like this

32-0 at halftime (30 min halves)

French halfback goes well for a little bloke. Seems to have a good understanding of the game and is a fearless tackler.

He is definitely a player to watch and played well for us at PBC in 2024 but as a 9 would likely struggle to get game time ahead of Corey Pearce or Hadley Smith.

Haven’t seen much of Hadley Smith at all, was he the one at Marymount this year?

I envisioned Jai would just tandem with Corey but if that’s unlikely then fair enough.

Seems the club has extremely high hopes for Jai and from what I’ve seen he always seems to be a top performer for the titans age group sides. Some very good, translatable traits you don’t often see in a dummy half his age.

Yes Mate, Marymount boy. I have seen a lot of Titans cup over the last two years and he has been the stand out player. Don't know much about him either apart from Matt Geyer playing him in his starting thirteen since grade ten. I presumed he was Titans contracted when I saw him in the Tweed squad but maybe that isn't the case.
