The eight Titans in action this weekend

The Gold Coast Titans' 2022 season may have concluded, but both Burleigh and Tweed are still well and truly alive in this year's Hostplus Cup finals series.

With the two affiliate clubs in do-or-die semi-finals across the weekend, eight full-time Titans players will be in action, hoping for grand final glory for their respective feeder teams.

On Saturday afternoon at Pizzey Park, the Burleigh Bears play host to the Central Queensland Capras with three top 30 players running out for the minor premiers.

The 4pm clash will see Esan Marsters, Tony Francis and Jacob Alick take to the field, hoping to progress to next week's preliminary finals after narrowly going down to Norths 20-19 at the weekend.

On Sunday morning at the Sunshine Coast, four Titans will be playing for the Tweed; with Jamayne Isaako, Treymain Spry, Toby Sexton and Sam Lisone all to face off against the Falcons, with the winner to face the Norths Devils in week three of the finals series.

Tom Weaver will also be in action across the weekend, captaining Tweed's Hastings Deering Colts team against Wynnum Manly on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's Hostplus Cup game will be live on Qplus.tv, Kayo and 9Now, whilst Sunday's game will be broadcast on Fox League and Kayo.

Issako single handed lost the game with two of the dumbest errors, firstly didn’t take kick off on the full then had to turn and chase and got caught in goal then went for short drop out that never went 10 just unbelievable from an nrl experienced player

That has to be the dumbest decision ever to go short there and even risk an easy two points penalty only a titans related club could to that

Game management lost it although Isaako certainly iced the loss but the pathetic Spry/Sexton misses for the last try were horrible plus the entire left edge were completely outplayed. Giving away a 24-0 lead is classic Titans. Personally when we lost McGrady we lost our way.

1/2 time v Fins and we have squandered a 10 point lead to be behind 10-12. Defence wins matches and less errors. Whoever is playing right wing in Francis’ place is having a shocker and has given the Bennett Bludgers the game on a platter.

Lucio it is and true to form goes into touch on first tackle first set and they score … hook him now.

Kini gone HIA season gorn.
