Review of matches for JTS players transitioning to QCUp and NRL

Jack Hudson came off the bench for teh Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Fifteen of the Queensland Cup against the Burleigh Bears and after coming onto the field to operate at dummy half in the 51st minute Jack Hudson ran out of dummy half to his left in the 54th minute to get the ball from thirty five to twenty metres from the try line.

Jack Hudson also did well in the 63rd minute when he was involved in holding up the Burleigh front rower No, 8 over the try line three metres to the right of the goal posts.

Playing eighteen minutes Jack Hudson ran for twenty one metres (five post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 3.06 seconds and made nine tackles at a tackling efficiency of 81.82%.
 
Sam Stephenson made his Queensland Cup debut in Round Sixteen of the 2024 season when he started from the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hampson Cup.

Sam Stephenson came off the bench in the 54th minute to operate at right centre and a minute later in the 55th minute Sam Stephenson made his first run in the QCup from the left of the play the ball from ten to twenty four metres from the try line with Sam Stephenson also able to break a tackle.

From the left of the play the ball once again in the 75th minute Sam Stephenson ran the ball down the left channel from forty seven to forty metres from the try line before off-loading to his right winger. Also in the 76th minute from the left of the play the ball and thirty metres from his try line 60% of the sixteen metres that Sam Stephenson made were post contact.

Sam Stephenson also executed an outstanding tackle in the 74th minute to take his opposing centre over the side line eighteen metres from the try line to prevent a Dolphins try.

Playing twenty six minutes Sam Stephenson ran for forty three metres (seventeen post contact), broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 3.51 seconds and made four tackles.
 
Vaka Sikahele continued at hooker for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Sixteen of the Queensland Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hampson Cup and in the 42nd minute whilst operating at lock Vaka Sikahele from two passes to the left of the play the ball Vaka Sikahele carried the ball through the centre of the field from thirty four metres from the try line to within three metres of the halfway. Vaka Sikahele also ran the ball through the centre of the field from the right of the dummy half to get from twenty to thirty metres from the try line.

Playing all eighty minutes Vaka Sikahele ran for thirty three metres (eight post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 2.68 seconds and made a team leading forty tackles at an impressive tackling efficiency of 97.56%.
 
Thomas Weaver continued at halfback for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Sixteen of the Queensland Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hampson Cup with Thomas Weaver recording a try assist in the 10th minute with a smart held up pass to his right from thirty two metres from the try line to put his right second rower over to score.

In the 2nd minute from the right of the play the ball and after dummying to his right Thoams Weafer ran the ball himself from sixteen to within two metres of the try line after being caught from behind.

Thomas Weaver also did well defensively in the 38th minute to be involved in holding up the Redcliffe No. 18 over the try line five metres to the right of the goal posts.

Playing all eighty minutes of the match Thomas Weaver ran for seventy metres (four post contact), broke a tackle, played the ball at an average speed of 3.2 seconds, made twelve tackles and kicked on seven occasions to make 242 metres.
 
Kaleb Ngamanu moved to right centre for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Sixteen of the Queensland Cup against the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hampson Cup with Kaleb Ngamanu carrying the ball down the right channel from the halfway to thirty eight metres from the try line in the 41st minute and in the 42nd minute from the right of the play the ball Kaleb Ngamanu attacked the area behind the markers as he got the ball from twenty to thirty two metres from the try line. Also from the right of the play the ball in the 49th minute Kaleb Ngamanu moved the ball from twenty to thirty metres from the try line.

Kaleb Ngamanu did well defensively in the 58th minute to be involved in holding up the Redcliffe No. 18 over the try line two metres to the right of the goal posts.

Arama Hau was back at lock for the Ipswich Jets in Round Sixteen of the Queensland Cup against the PNG Hunters with Arama Hau scoring in the 67th minute when he barged over from four metres out and to the right of the dummy half to get the ball down eight metres to the right of the uprights.

Arama Hau also made a line break in the 22nd minute with a charge to the right of the play the ball that saw Arama Hau from thirty metres from his try line break two tackles before shrugging away form a third to get form thirty to twelve metres of the try line.

Arama Hau ran an underneath route to the right of the play the ball to run from twenty two to twelve metres from the try line before getting a two handed off-load away to his right and in the 43rd minute Arama Hau ran out of dummy half down a short left blindside to carry the ball from eighteen to five metres from the try line. Then in the 61st minute Arama Hau ran the ball through the centre of the field from two passes to the tight of the play the ball to get within ten metres of the try line after making eleven metres.

Playing seventy three minutes Arama Hau ran for ninety metres (nineteen post contact), made a team leading two line breaks and broke a team leading seven tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.03 seconds and made twenty six tackles at a tackling efficiency of 96.3%.

Ryan Foran started at left second row for the Ipswich Jets in Round Seventeen of the Queensland Cup against the Sunshine Coast Falcons with Ryan Foran running out of dummy half in the 12th minute and broke a tackle as he ran the ball from forty six to thirty metres from the try line.

Kalab Ngamanu then started on the right wing in Round Eighteen against the Souths Logan Magpies with Kaleb Ngamanu scoring in the 44th minute when he froze his opposing winger twelve metres from the try line with Kaleb Ngamanu then beating him down the touchline to score in the right corner.

Kaleb Ngamanu also recorded a try assist in the 56th minute when after charging down the right touchline from ten metres inside his half Kaleb Ngamanu ran to twenty metres out and then chipped over the fullback with Thomas Weaver taking the chip on the full to score.

Playing all eighty minutes of the match once again Kaleb Ngamanu ran for 192 metres (40 post contact), broke two tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.11 seconds and made a tackle.
 
Oskar Bryant started at hooker in Round Seventeen of the Queensland Cup against the Mackay Cutters and in the 77th minute Oskar Bryant ran out of dummy half to his left to get from thirty metres from his try line to the halfway before receiving a penalty for an illegal strip.

In the 17th minute along with Thomas Weaver, Oskar Bryant was able to hold up the Cutters lock over the try line six metres to the left of the posts.

Playing 55 minutes Oskar Bryant ran for 17 metres (9 post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 5.12 seconds and made 25 tackles at a tackling efficiency of 89.29%.

Oskar Bryant also started at hooker in Round 18 against the Souths Logan Magpies and in his 47 minutes on the field Oskar Bryant ran for 72 metres(8 post contact), played the ball at an average speed of 2.54 seconds and made 21 tackles at a tackling efficiency of 84%.
 
Vaka Sikahele started from the bench in Round Seventeen of the Queensland Cup against the Mackay Cutters and in his 34 minutes on the field Vaka Sikahele ran for

Vaka Sikahele also started from the bench in Round 18 against the Souths Logan Magpies with Vaka Sikahele scoring in the 71st miute when after receiving the ball in front of the posts and to the right of the play the ball twelve metres out Vaka Sikahele stepped off his right foot and then carried two defenders over the try line next to the right goal post.

Playing 38 minutes Vaka Sikahele rn for 41 metres (nine post contact), broke three tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 4.39 seconds and made fourteen tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.
 
Thomas Weaver started at halfback in Round Seventeen of the Queensland Cup against the Mackay Cutters with Thomas Weaver running the ball down a right blindside in the 25th minute and broke a tackle as he ran the ball from forty metres from his try line to two metres into the Cutters half.

Also in the 17th minute along with Oskar Bryant, Thomas Weaver held up the Magpies lock over the try line six metres to the left of the posts.

Thomas Weaver also scored in the 56th minute when he backed up on the inside of a Kaleb Ngamanu line break down the right touchline and was on hand to take a Kaleb Ngamanu chip kick over the fullback on the full eight metres out to score midway between the uprights and corner post on the right side of the field.

Thomas Weaver also recorded a try assist in the 16th minute with a high bomb to the right corner with his winger jumping above his direct opponent to take the ball on the full and score in the right corner.

Playing the entire match Thomas Weaver ran for 105 metres (17 post contact), broke 5 tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.59 seconds and made 18 tackles at a tackling efficiency of 85%.
 
Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui started in the front row for the Tweed Heads Seagulls in Round Eighteen of the Queensland Cup against the Souths Logan Magpies and in the 9th minute from the left of a Tweed Heads penalty restart Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui ran the ball through the centre of the field from forty five to thirty two metres from the try line.

From the left of the play the ball Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui once again ran through the centre of the field in the 13th minute from seventeen to twenty eight metres from the try line. Also in the 16th minute from the left of the dummy half Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui carried the ball twelve metres into the Magpies half from eight metres inside his own. Then in the 20th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball and through the centre of the field Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui ran from twenty to eight metres from the try line.

Jaylan De Groot continued at fullback for the Ipswich Jets in Round Eighteen of the Queensland Cup against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Jaylan De Groot scoring in the 59th minute when he backed up a Ken Mamaulo line break down the right touchline and receive a pass from his left from eight metres out with Jaylan De Groot bringing the ball around to put it down under the posts.

In the 3rd minute after receiving the ball wide on the right Jaylan De Groot got halfway through a gap to get the ball from thirty to sixteen metres from the try line and in the 22nd minute from the right of the play the ball Jaylan De Groot was able to get the ball from twenty five to thirty five metres from the try line.

In the 23rd minute after receiving a pass from his right from Tannah Boyd Jaylan De Groot broke two tackles to get the ball from twenty eight to within nine metres of the try line and ten metres in from the right touchline. Also in the 63rd minute from three passes to the left of the play the ball and after dummying to his left Jaylan De Groot was able to get the ball from thirty two to within ten metres of the try line near the left touchline.

Playing all eighty minutes of the match Jaylan De Groot ran for 131 metres (thirty post contact), broke three tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.81 second and made eight tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.
 
Ryan Foran continued at left second row for the Ipswich Jets in Round Eighteen of the Queensland Cup against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Ryan Foran scoring in the 37th minute when after receiving a pass from his right four metres from the try line Ryan Foran was initially held up but with two defenders holding him up Ryan Foran was able to twist clockwise and get the ball to the ground ten metres in from the left corner post.

In the 3rd minute from a Jets penalty restart Ryan Foran was able to get the ball from thirty to forty two metres from the try line and in the 40th minute Ryan Foran ran the ball down a very short left blindside from nineteen to thirty one metres from the try line. Also in the 45th minute from the left of the play the ball and thirty three metres from his try line Ryan Foran ran the ball to within four metres of the halfway mark.

Playing all eighty minutes of the match Ryan Foran ran for 107 metres (forty six post contact), broke four tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.41 second and made eighteen tackles.
 
Arama Hau continued at lock for the Ipswich Jets in Round Eighteen of the Queensland Cup against the Toowoomba Clydesdales with Arama Hau scoring in the 24th minute when after receiving an off-load from his left Arama Hau crashed over to score from four metres out and ten metres to the right of the goal posts.

In the 10th minute from the left of the play the ball Arama Hau got the ball to the halfway from forty metres from his try line and in the 22nd minute from wide on the left side of the field Arama Hau broke a tackle to run the ball from the halfway to forty metres from the try line before getting a right arm off-load away whilst going to ground.

In the 36th minute from the left of the play the ball Arama Hau ran from four metres inside Toowoomba territory to thirty four metres from the try line before off-loading to his right. Then in the 43rd minute from the right of the play the ball Arama Hau made thirteen metres to get the ball to within twenty one metres of the try line. Also in the 45th minute Arama Hua ran through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball from forty two metres from his try line to six metres into the Clydesdales half.

Playing sixty nine minutes Arama Hau ran for 100 metres (thirty one post contact), broke a team leading seven tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.23 seconds and made a team leading twenty eight tackles at a tackling efficiency of 96.55%.
 
After a storied career for the Wallabies, Super Rugby and in School Boy Rugby for Brisbane Boys College, Carter Gordon started his rugby league career in Round Nineteen of the Queensland Cup at left centre for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Toowoomba Clydesdales.

Carter Gordon celebrated his debut by scoring in the 58th minute when after receiving the ball wide on the left side of the field and twenty metres out in space Carter Gordon set sail for the try line and when eight metres out Carter Gordon stepped inside off his left foot to beat the fullback and bring the ball around to score seven metres to the left of the posts.

Carter Gordon also recorded a try assist in the 54th minute when from wide on the left Carter Gordon ran the ball from eighteen to ten metres from the try line to draw the Toowoomba right winger and off-load to his left to put Tony Francis over to score in the corner.

Carter Gordon also kicked three conversions, the first coming in the 56th minute from in front before converting his own try in the 58th minute from seven metres to the left of the posts. Carter Gordon then kicked his third conversion in the 66th minute from twelve metres to the right of the uprights. Carter Gordon could easily have had four conversions but his 28th minute attempt from twelve metres in from the left touchline hit the right goal post.

Carter Gordon made his first run of his rugby league career in the 8th minute with an effort from two passes to the left of the play the ball to carry the ball from twenty eight to thirty eight metres from the try line with Carter Gordon winning a penalty for ruck interference. Then in the 9th minute after receiving a long pass from his right thirty eight metres from the try line Carter Gordon beat his opposing centre with a right arm fend to get the ball to twenty four metres of the try line before being awarded another penalty, this time for an illegal strip.

Carter Gordon ran the ball through the centre of the field from the right of the play the ball to carry the ball from twenty nine to forty two metres out and then in the 33rd minute after receiving the ball forty eight metres from the try line Carter Gordon straightened up his run with a left foot step to make thirteen metres, Also in the 36th minute from the right of the play the ball Carter Gordon ran through the centre of the field from forty six to thirty four metres from the try line.

Playing all eighty minutes of the match Carter Gordon ran for 137 metres (fort seven post contact), broke two tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.67 seconds and made seven tackles at a 100% tackling efficiency.

Also in the 60th minute after chiming into the Jets backline wide on the right Jaylan De Groot made a half break to run from forty to nineteen metres from the try line.

Playing the entire match Jaylan De Groot ran for 109 metres (forty post contact), broke three tackles, played the ball at an average speed of 3.14 seconds and made two tackles.
