Sam Stephenson made his Queensland Cup debut in Round Sixteen of the 2024 season when he started from the bench for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Hampson Cup.

After a storied career for the Wallabies, Super Rugby and in School Boy Rugby for Brisbane Boys College, Carter Gordon started his rugby league career in Round Nineteen of the Queensland Cup at left centre for the Tweed Heads Seagulls against the Toowoomba Clydesdales.

Carter Gordon celebrated his debut by scoring in the 58th minute when after receiving the ball wide on the left side of the field and twenty metres out in space Carter Gordon set sail for the try line and when eight metres out Carter Gordon stepped inside off his left foot to beat the fullback and bring the ball around to score seven metres to the left of the posts.

Carter Gordon also recorded a try assist in the 54th minute when from wide on the left Carter Gordon ran the ball from eighteen to ten metres from the try line to draw the Toowoomba right winger and off-load to his left to put Tony Francis over to score in the corner.

Carter Gordon also kicked three conversions, the first coming in the 56th minute from in front before converting his own try in the 58th minute from seven metres to the left of the posts. Carter Gordon then kicked his third conversion in the 66th minute from twelve metres to the right of the uprights.
