Round 1: WESTS TIGERS vs TITANS (2023)

JC at 6 isn't the worst thing like everyone thinks it would be (not you guys), he can defend, it's more when he's the last man.

I can't agree at this stage, he isn't the best defender but he also needs to have a team that knows what he going to do with the ball rather than be a Shaun Johnson type touch player with much less skill

The fact we’ve had that many stupid errors and penalties and are still ahead is both concerning and impressive

Man I love how competitive and passionate Schoupp is. Dude takes it so personally it’s fantastic

****ING HELL OUR DEFENCE HAS BEEN QUALITY, **** THESE REFS.

Sorry for the swearing but this has been a gong show and we still won somehow.

I mean it defensivly, He's still gotta learn a lot but everyone makes out like he can't defend in the front line, the kid has his dads toughness.

He just absolutely smoked someone just then.

I'll take the win, concerning signs for how we will be treated by the refs as usual. Stimson, Foran, Schoupp can't complain about these signings as they all played out of their skin

First time I remember winning on our defence and foul attack in a long time, against Tigers in their home ground, all the hype...
That's a pretty legit win.

Good effort from the guys. I’d nearly argue that’s one of the best games I’ve seen from Fifita. Didn’t float in and out of the game as he usually does and looked busy. Hopefully Foran is all good but was a great team effort and it was awesome to trust our defence for once.

We won that match on the back of our defence. Had no right to considering how little possession we had in their 20, and how much they did have in ours. Add the penalty count and we really had a lot to overcome.

We’ll have to improve from that performance but a lot of good stuff out there.

Tigers recruited big this off-season, had a very hostile crowd, tons of optimism and confidence, rub of the green for the majority, pretty legitimate attacking momentum, most of the territory aswell... and we somehow clawed our way to victory. Big time win for the team, this is the type of match we usually lose. Feels like we popped a bubble tonight.

Joe Stimson and Aaron Schoupp massive tonight, Stimson inparticular strangled a lot of inside pressure down that edge + played coverage well on other’s missed tackles. Schoupp is a f**kin Bull out there. I suspect that entire right edge will end up being a very unified front as the season goes on. Very happy, just keeping fingers crossed for some good Foran news.
