Round 10: KNIGHTS vs TITANS (2025)

As much as some of his lapses piss me off.

Moes 150th and his story to becoming the player and person he is and what he's done is an incredible feat and through what him and his family I couldn't be prouder to have someone like him representing the club... I don't think he's used right all the time but he does always try his hardest, Even if it's a struggle.

I love Moe and for what he's gone through for the club having to be a leader of the pack at 18/19 at times.

He's never not thrown his body or effort into most things, He just sometimes sucks but so do most hahahaha.

Well done Moey.

I hope we keep I am
GROOT in the team when kini comes back.

His been great in a poor team. I think his really grown confidence the last few weeks. I think his pretty underrated imo

AJs kicking game was pretty legit tonight for the first time all year and when he connects on the torps, Everyone struggles under it... It looks weird but he makes them dive really well, I just want him running more, At least 12 times a game to where even if it looks ugly just work it over and he can get it and same with JC.

Tinos ball playing/play making around the middle to get himself to better spots or the team has legit become good but looks like it could become great???? He's getting a lot of it right this year and for all the talk about a 13, Tinos been doing everything you want from one, He's actually got a bit of a dummy and pass?????

WTF TINO.
Also his offloads have improved in volume and quality. He just needs to tidy up that high shot penalty he is conceding every game atm and he's pretty much playing perfect.

You got to take penalties from him imo since he's our intimidator, I wouldn't be mad if he had more as long as he's setting boundaries and standards where akk the other dorks get on board.

I kind of wish Moe and RCG do it with him, Cop a penalty or two like they have been but make it worthwhile like Tino does, Tinos pentalties are all for smacking blokes. RCG has been doing it but noone is going with him, With RCG you need to hunt because he's wiling to take all the contact.

This game was the first time we actually played to our strengths the whole season with the ball even without anything looking good.

Despite playing injured, one aspect of JC game he had improved was when he shifted the ball wide, he ran a lot deeper and straighter into the defensive line. This was very a noticeable improvement in his game and hopefully he can do that with consistency.

Good work JC and it shows you are learning the craft of a 7.

Noticed this too. He’s also looking a bit more patient with the ball. Sami’s first try for example JC knew by Jaylan straightening that there would be numbers on his outside if he got the ball back. Then went straight to Sami. He’s still got a lot of work to do to be a full time 7 but it’s good to see aspects of his game improving

Someone else mentioned it but I thought Lofi was good last night. I feel that he kind of sinks or rises to the level that BK inside him is playing, which he needs to shake and find consistency because we all know what BK is like week to week

Jaylan good again playing to his strengths. I still think we need an actual right centre. Jojo is one of my favourite players but he’s a very good winger and I don’t think he’s quite got the skillset of a great centre.

Klese was good. AJ was in everything and looked focused. Tino is just ridiculous.

All in all a horrible first half particularly with discipline and D, but a second half that showed some mental fortitude front loaded by a decent defensive effort and some much better intent with using the ball

Nice to take the W, next week will be a big challenge down in Canberra

Does JDG need to go back to cup to learn right centre HS? Or is he already a better option than HSS or AJ?

I think cup. And needs to develop physically IMO. He played there in 21s and was carving up but physically at cup level he’s struggled when playing wing, and it’ll be even harder at centre. Much different defensive responsibility in terms of first contact than at fb.

I'll be keen to hear how HSS goes and how long it takes him to get into the picture for NRL. With Foz back, I'm hoping AJ goes to centre despite his improved performance at 6 last night.

It’s a weird feeling the day after a win, albeit a scrappy win. Was beginning to forget what this felt like.

I rewatched the game today and we were far from good, but showed enough ticker to scrape out a win.

I thought last night was Lofi’s most complete game in the NRL. Aside from the 2 try assists, he was safe under the bomb, had a lot of hit-ups following kicks (and didn’t get driven backwards) and showed some real intent in defence.

Also don’t get all the previous AJ bagging on here. I’ll admit in past seasons i have been concerned about the number of soft tissue injuries and what appeared a carefree attitude, but this season he looks really fit and matured. He is growing into the 5/8 role and his defence has been great. This week, besides his 2 tries, there appeared a real focus to get Fermor and Kelly early ball.

Finally, i hope we are doing everything we can to keep Pahulu. He is all heart and bends the line with every carry.

Enjoy the weekend all.
