Round 11. KNIGHTS vs TITANS (2023)

I am feeling for the first time this season, 110% confident that we can get the job done. But in saying that, we are where we are for a reason...

Apart from the pop-gun bench issue which has been well debated, the danger this week will come in the Kelly/Lofi v. Gagai/Young match-up but I'm with you Appsy, there is no reason why we can't go in with confidence. Should be a cracker of a game.

I'm loath to change a winning formula but would keep Kini and add some size.

Izaak in and Clark out would be the change I'd be looking at.

Whenever Clark is on the field we get rolled through the middle, whether he is playing lock or hooker. He's one common denominator of our poor defensive periods.

1. Jayden Campbell
2. Alofiana Khan-Pereira
3. Brian Kelly
4. Jojo Fifita
5. Phillip Sami
6. Kieran Foran
7. Tanah Boyd
8. Moeaki Fotuaika
9. Chris Randall
10. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui (C)
11. David Fifita
12. Joe Stimson
13. Issac Liu

14. Kruise Leeming
15. Erin Clark
16. Klese Haas
17. Jo Vuna
---------
18. Keano Kini
19. Aaron Schoupp
20. Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui
21. Thomas Mikaele
22. Sam Mcintyre

Same 1-17 originally named last week before Leemings and Kini swapped. I would have personally gone for Iszac and Mikaele on the bench for Clark and Vuna for added size, but clearly Holbrook has faith in these two to get it done. In no way am I saying they’re bad players either, just mainly for a more bulkier bench.

Bring on the Knights !

I will say that they’re bad players

Can anyone find when Verrills is actually expected to return? I remembered he said on the matty John’s show but can’t remember his answer. Makes more sense to have Leeming there instead of kini, obviously foz is all good this week and we don’t need the cover. I would prefer shoupp over Kelly I just get so nervous when Kelly runs the ball just waiting for him to do something dumb. I’d love to see this team with Verrills and jollife in it, hopefully will get to see it in the next month or so

Injury returns: Sexton due back R12, AJ R14, JJ R17 and Verrills indefinite.

When you compare the starting 13's it's Titans x 12, when you add the bench it is a toss of a coin. Leeming and Clark should never be together, while Vuna is understandable and Haas an investment in the future.

Think Verrills was 10 weeks from the injury which happened in Round 2, I’m optimistic that he’ll be back after the bye.

As long as Foran can get fifita mixing it up between running straight over ponga to more of his ballplaying drawing young in and finding lofi we should win
