Round 12: BRONCOS vs TITANS (2022)

Done. Not going out of my way to even watch any more. Bring on the women. At least there we have a team worth watching.

Now I steel myself for the “Sexton was off” excuse and “that wasn’t good enough” … makes me want to vomit.

Who do we bring in, it's a no from me on Paul Green. And for obvious reasons it's a no from me on Flanagan aswell

We said when we were appointing this coach that this will either make or break the club. The club is broken in my opinion. I have absolutely no desire to go to another game this season and I am a season ticket holder. Do you think I'm renewing next year? Hell no. Who would? I honestly think the club is dead. We have no loyalty or heart in 90% of the team. FFS we still pay a wage to that bloke down in Canberra. The place exists to for certain people to earn a wage and do the absolute minimum.

I'm so angry I won't be able to watch and enjoy Obi-wan tonight.

Absolutely pathetic second half, Isaako, Masters can go...

Can we get Shane Flannigan before the dogs get him? At least he will bring some heart and toughness in this team. They crumble out of any sort of pressure, absolutely pathetic.

With JB as well Mal can go with Jim Dymock, who knows wtf he even does for the club. No heart in the jersey accept for a small handful of players.

Well... it was all going so well. It was singing. Sexton was amazing and Tino was a revelation. I haven't wanted to put a players name on a jersey in years. But now I do. I agree he really did deserve a win and a far better performance than that. I made some notes and thoughts but after such a loss it's a bit hard to be motivated to share.

Leaving us with 11 was unforgivable and absolutely excruciating to watch. But the last twenty was more painful because we lost momentum and had this sinking feeling in the back of our minds. Our psychology has been really fractured this year. Yea really painful.

I'm not going to quit on the club. I do agree we need on and off field change. But I wouldn't say Holbrook yet.

As Boongara says, when do the women start? And back to watching the feeder teams for a fix. Origin to distract us too.

Next week won't be any easier against the Cowboys.

Now I got ******* friends sending me Pepe the Frog photos wearing Broncos caps.

I'm just going to bask in the game that was Toby Sexton's as I go to bed.

And yea. Try and enjoy yourself this weekend. I'm going to watch Better Call Saul and maybe see Doctor Strange.

The question is, do we have a sports psych on board? We can't continue to blame the coach when it is clearly the mental fortitude which allows us to lose these games. Yes there are silly things that our coach does, especially when it comes to selections. But the coach cannot be blamed for weak mental fortitude week in week out.
Usually team matches coach’s IQ

We need to start looking to the future. There are certain players in the team that have reached their ceiling and just aren’t first grade material.

We all know Clarke isn’t up to standard so start playing Boyd and instruct him to start using his kicking game so that the halves aren’t under so much pressure.

Why play Isaako when Marzhew has been our strongest ball carrier all year. Put him on the same wing every week and teach him how to read plays on defence.

Understand why our bench gives up so many points each game. Ese Ese did nothing to deserve to be dropped. Why bring Joliffe back when he has zero impact? Both Joliffe and Lisone have been playing the majority of games over the past two seasons when we give up leads. Obviously niether of them know how to slow the play or come up with big momentum swinging moments. Drop them and find other players that can.

It’s time that Holbrook took a step back and challenged his perception on the players he chooses. It’ll probably get worse before it gets better but tough choices need to be made now or he’s a dead man walking.

Totally understand and agree. Selections for the rest of the season and staff changes in the off season will dictate how much I’m invested for 2023

Now that realistically season is done, time for Coaching staff to make moves with selections.
My view.
Thompson gone from 17.
Boyd gone from 17
Tino to prop, Clark to 13 and Booth to 9
Turner on the bench
Not impressed with Liu, no real impact.
Start giving other players in top 35 chance on the bench
Was at the game tonight and forward pack while big lacks speed hence Clark to 13

Not sure what you mean? Thought he was brilliant in that first half. Did he stuff something up at the end?

I believe he's talking about the coaches presser

IMO the only changes that will be made will be due to origin

Broncos weren't exactly on a losing streak like us...and Nanai started the year off too.

No but Payton blooded Nanai and Luki llast year knowing he would take the hit to become better this yeart and they are playing so much better. He blooded them at a time that the Cows were not going well. Smart and good coach Payton
