Round 16: TITANS vs NZ WARRIORS (2024)

Looks like we bought Carter Gordon for depth!

The worst thing is Lofi gets to keep his spot.

Fantastic from us! I think that's a lesson to all of us. Never question Des.

I think given our season so far, we enjoy the win tonight, put the line under it and next week is Round 1.

Selections will be interesting with AJ and Jojo back. AJ at 4 and Jojo in for Lofi, for mine. Des will know best.

There needs to be an angry emoji for me to use when someone says AJ to Centre

It’s hard for me to fathom that intelligent people who follow our team closely and have watched our games could go back to saying AJ at Centre again.

Where else can he go?
Kini nor Campbell shall not be moved after that
Maybe #14 and do some impact at 13 and 9 if there are no backline injuries during the game and then once AJ finds form then Kini can do that role but let’s face it most of the time one or more of Kini/Foz/JC/AJ will be injured so the luxurious conundrum won’t really happen all that often.

AJ could be the perfect 14 tbh because then you have a rover who can play 15-20 mins of hooker either side of ht when the middles are tired but also cover any injury 1-7 if needed

But we wouldn’t be able to carry him, Clark and verrils on the bench that’s way too small

I don’t think it’s necessarily Brimson to centre mate, but more trying to figure out the equation that is a Titans backline that has Brimson+Kini+Campbell in it. No idea what we do, but at this point all 3 have to be there somewhere.

I don’t get how Kini absolutely killing it and JC looking better each week and having his best game at 6 being hard to fathom. I just don’t think you would mess with what has been working well with both Kini and JC growing every week to bring AJ back from injury at 6 to disrupt the combination. AJ very well might move back into 6 but you can’t take the spot off JC or Kini and the last thing you want is AJ getting heavy work at 6 first game back when he’s an injury worry. Not saying AJ to centre is the solution, I think he is wasted there but it’s more as things stand, how do you bring him back into the team after being out for a long stretch. I think the best thing is this actually a discussion as in past years it’s been where can you plug someone in to cause the least amount of pain ( remember when Wallace played 9)

The size of the win was the result of their performance in the first 15 minutes. The defence was ferocious, they dominated field position, they completed all their sets and they kept the ball in play for long periods which really knocked the Wahs around bit.

AKP could have scored 6 tries and he was very good today. Also Keenan showed what he can do when he pulls his finger out.

It would not have shown up on TV but Randalls off the ball efforts is just phenominal. Just effort on most plays which was holding up the defence allowing more space for the attacker.

Kino has to be No.1. I dont think I seen so much improvement in a player in such a short period of time and we have another 10 rounds or so to get even better.

Campbell and AJ will be the long term halves and they will be dynamite. it is just a matter of when.

Did Josiah P sustain an injury today? Any info on that?

Also, do you think JC has any concerns with his hip drop report?

Also how good was it to have Adam Gee Referee us rather than one of Annesley’s NswRL clowns come and do a number on us. The guy should be the Origin referee. He stands alone.

And finally, Corey Parker. What a piece of work. He as we racked up the points could not have looked more sour about it and he left the ground not long after Fulltime looking depressed about us having such a beautiful day. I just watched the replay and his commentary totally backed up what I could see from the stands.

And with that I’m off to crash.
What a beautiful day in the beautiful city.
