Round 19: BULLDOGS vs TITANS (2022)

Lets all hurry to the presser it should be reverting stuff....
"we tried hard but just couldn't get there in the end"
"just if Adocar didn't get those inercepts we would have won"
" I'm proud of the boys they didn't stop trying"

SOMEONE PLEASE PUT ME OUT OF MY MISSERY

Absolute rubbish? Absolute? No way. It's a much improved Bulldogs side actually and Burton and Addo-Carr aren't rubbish.

OK

Tell me you haven’t watched them play this year without telling me you haven’t watched them play this year

Ok but I'm not sure what you mean

Let's not forget we lost to a depleted Broncos side last week, the Knights without Brailey/Ponga. Tigers and Warriors are the only teams we'd realistically be able to beat again, but even they wouldn't be a cakewalk. Looks like we let in 36 points, yet last week was all about how good our defence was?

All that said, I have no solution.

Looks like the tigers are having a crack at the moment against Cows
I doubt we beat the Tigers or Warriors at the moment TBH.

One of big problems (among many) is our lack of attention to detail which is costing the team big time. Whether it is a dropped ball, bad marker defence, loose carry etc, it is the same every week.

This IS a coaching issue and one that Holbrook appears to not have put enough attention to in training as it happens every game and has not been addressed. Our error rates all year have been atrocious.

The other main issue is that our team overall is just poor and we are down the bottom of the table as our halves are the worst in the league.

Toby and Herbert need to be dropped, Herbert only cares about highlight reel tackles and can't read the game. Tobys kicking selection is horrible, his defense is sub par and he is as slow as a snail.

Right now we need to start Erin at lock, find a way for Brimson and Jayden to be on the field together. Majority of times Jayden has played we've scored a lot of points, it all his movement off the ball which helps as well.

Great to see how well Jojo and Booth play well, I think Booth really helps us in defence and creates another playmaker on the field.

Holbrook can go now...

They say players involved in origin camps grow an extra leg when they go back to their clubs, unfortunately Beau is missing one leg. Has been terrible since he got the Origin hype.

Just watched the presser not sure why I bothered but anyways Hurricane was asked a question of why he was the right man to turn the club around and I think his answer pretty well sums up why he isn’t….he only danced around the question with gobbledygook. Bye! Bye!

I maintain that Sexton is not NRL standard (currently, not to say he never will be) and Holbrook should never have put all the eggs in his basket.

How you could logically think that it would be a good idea to punt the only other halfback we had, for an unproven one in Sexton is beyond my comprehension.

I legitimately cannot think of a worse half at the moment. I think next year give 6 to Brimson and 7 to Foran and make Sexton work towards earning the jersey back.

Agree 100 per cent. We need as much experience in halves as at the moment it is killing us and Holbrook needs to be held accountable for his hare brained idea in the first place

I disagree, while not the perfect halfback, he has qualities which should leave him in first grade. Kick re starts is number one in the competition. The last 6 weeks he has not played with a decent 6, like Deardon needs the right coaching.

Speaking of Lui, he has gone really backwards this year with only 50 metres and 11 tackles with 2 missed tackles yesterday. Really poor performance for a starting prop, In fact both Jolliffe and Ese Ese had more impact.

Personally Ese seems to have been having decent dig and I don't think Jolliffe could ever be criticised for not having a dig either ... maybe not the most skilful but that's a lot better than the numbers Liu, McIntyre and Lisone have been squeezing out.

Ese Ese had one of his better games, but tried to run over the fullback like wighton v papenhuzen instead of running to the side. Not sure he has any passion for the club or is teammates are close with him. Jolliffe has been bit better lately too and takes some hard carries. I agree with lisone and mcintyre, just not rly first grade tbh. Liu doesnt have the passion but is capable
