Round 2: BULLDOGS vs TITANS (2025)

I wonder if Randall was 13 then Fifita might start? We have a big starting pack, so if work rate is a concern, that might explain why Haas gets the nod over Dave.
I feel it's the most balanced rotation for many many years and we shouldn't lose anything off the bench ... now, if only the half's can .............

Well I stand corrected; Fifi off the bench, Klese starting. Dessie will either swap em an hour before kick off or he'll have em come on mid way through the first half. I also am somewhat fine with Fermor lining up against Kikau compared to Klese; dependant on if Fifi starts, etc.

I also must have misinterpreted the rules with T&T's & Dev deals, etc. Congratulations to Brock Gray; hopefully he's got that extra pep in his step that we need off the bench, and he did impress in the trial. If he does a well enough job now in this game, it'll be his spot to lose going forward.

I think we could get tortured out wide with their centres against ours, especially with Burton and Kikau. Their bench looks to have a lot of impact too. I think they also have an advantage having played last week.

It'll be a good test of Sami and Kelly and our second rowers. Hope I'm not knee jerking them out of the squad after the game.

So is Brock Gray now in the 30?

I can see the logic of benching DF as Tino and RCG will be under done somewhat and they will fatigue quicker as a result until they get some match conditioning in their legs. Having a known defensive liability in DF on the park at the same time will make our forwards defence somewhat shaky and rotation needs to managed right by minimising having the 3 forwards on the park at the same time.

Do you think we will see a different interchange strategy this year? Less longer minutes and more punchier interchanges? It seems to be the round 1 trend.

Yeah I think the strategy will revolve around our triple threat fullback spine, so D-Rex will come off the bench to skittle tired lazy forwards and create chaos

The Fifita strategy will be useless if Klese does a Klese and gives away stupid penalties, makes errors and misses tackles and we are down 18-0 when he comes on.

Give him a chance I reckon Bods. You might be right but we’re yet to even play a proper game.

Could completely stink it up and if so we move on and Dave starts but at least they’re trying to actively find an alternative to plug the Fifita problem on D

I get some of the Klese stuff but I think it's so overboard how much fans go at him looking at social media. He he has issues but it's like I've said before about him, There's a very good player there imo and when our 800k second rower struggles defensively and our other one imo, Beggers can't be choosers.

In the trial he had 11 runs for 110m (48pcm) with a ptb speed of 2.86 which was the quickest in the team, 3 offloads (most) and made 38 tackles (2nd) with 1 miss and no ineffective, All higher then Dave in every category and the same runs and made 16 tackles with 2 inneffective and missed.

I honestly don't know what people expect/want from basically a bench/occasional starter who's just turned 23 and has a lot of good assets in the NRL, Yes he has a few issues but they can be fixed. It feels a bit like the Gordon Ramsey meme with the kids and adults with how Klese gets treated by fans on social media compared to others who imo he's better then some who get a lot of love.
