Des might as well run out the side he’d like to build around next season and sort out our AJ, kini and Campbell issue. Palasia and Liu need to go they offer nothing. Kelly costs us in vital plays. Akp offers nothing but speed.
I’d like to see this lineup build in towards next season.

Kelly has put in some putrid performances but this was gold medal. Had no clue when to jam in defence and his tackling was abysmal. On the other side, Sami was not much better. We were murdered down our edges on both sides of the field due to our ineffectual centres in defence
 
You’ve name Fermor in the right centre and left second row there. I know he’s good but probably can’t be in 2 places at once good
 
The team stats read like we won the game. Ahead on nearly every metric. Absolutely diabolical, that one. We looked like we hadn't played together. Gutted that we've gone back to having a pile of unanswered points put on us with no reply. We let Des down badly.

I've had a gutful of Pillowsia (I think that might be yours Willy). As soon as Clark and Mo went off, we caved in the middle. He just looks like he's light on effort.

I think we also got a reality check (for those that needed it) just how second-rate BK is and how Lofi is a waste of selection. I probably would have selected them for this week, given the last few weeks but we know it's going to cost us eventually. Today gave us the loss we deserved.

Is Tony Francis fit? How's he going? Put Sami back on a wing and move Jojo and AJ to the centres.

I don't understand the rotation either. What's the point of 15 minutes for Liu? Just thank him for his service and send him out to pasture. How did Klese only get 20?

Clark was our best IMO. Kini not far behind, despite some less than positional play. Hard to know what effect the head knock had on Beau.

Is it just me or are PTB speeds slowing?
 
Lofi and BK. What a couple of useless duds. We can't have them as our left centre and winger next season. One is a weak peaheart and the other is Shaun Kenny Dowell light. He can't stop making ******* basic mistakes.

Screw it AJ left centre **** these useless liabilities off
 
Why do people talk so disrespectfully about our players. They are Gold Coasters and they play for us.
I’ve had so much fun this year too at times with what Lofi and BK do especially in attack.
Back at it again next week against Redcliffe.
Beat Bennett and beat the filthy rich and resourced Redcliffe. Can’t stand that club.

And the AJ centre crew. Wash your typing fingers out with soap.

BK is a ******* useless twat. For every tackle break he makes he drops the ball, does something stupid or makes a bad defensive read x 5
 
About what I expected. A gut check game and it’s the same old faces making the same mistakes and just proves we aren’t up to scratch when it counts. I can see us going winless to end the season unless we turn up for 80. You could see the early signs last week that good teams will make us pay for dumb mistakes and our IQ lets us down so many times. Anyways hopefully just a bad game abd we are better next week
 
I also want to point out how shithouse Palasia is again as he's escaped my wrath so far tonight.

We may as well have 2 on the bench given how useless he and Liu are.

Lofi, Kelly, Palasia and Liu are useless.
 
It's been the same thing for years which is why I'm kind of laughing about the "they let Des down" stuff as if he hasn't been picking these guys and these things still keep happening but we've been covering it better against worse teams. He re-signed BK and hasn't dropped him yet, Holbrook even did at times. He's still the same player, Des hasn't improved him or Lofi, We're still getting the exact same stuff from both of them.

We make the least amount of metres in the league by a bit and we have two halves who can't kick us out of trouble (not yet with JC at least). We still have a team that no matter the magic dust Des puts on them, Fundamentally it's built for what we saw today happening more often then not, If things aren't going our way, It turns bad quickly.

On top of them not being able to defend it which has been a constant for 2 years now, Tackle % doesn't mean a lot but BKs is the lowest of his career and tries are still leaking down that side. We don't know what we're getting from them from week to week, I'd take someone who gives us a constant 6/7 each week doing their job instead of 2 on week and a 9 the next. I'll give BK a bit of credit in that it's never a lack of effort thing with him, He's just got a low footy IQ and that's what he is and it's what you get.

A left side of Fifita, JC, BK and Lofi, A right side of Fermor, Foz, Sami and Jojo. 1 below and 1 average defender in the second row, 2 halves who are at different ends of their careers, 2 centres who have proven for a long time they can't defend and 1 winger who's shown great defence and 1 who's the opposite. We're still going to be a similar team despite what Des can do because most of these guys just aren't ever going to be good defenders. Des re-signed late in the year BK. I don't get why Des doesn't deserve some criticism despite us obviously looking better in most games, We're sitting in 15th at the end of the day and unless we make some moves, It's basically going to be the same backline running out next year.

Also just get Jojo and Francis back in the centres....

Des’ redeeming factors are that he largely inherited this squad and has them playing better than last year. Any club that fields lightweight forwards and tiny backs will get run down, out jumped and monstered most weeks.
 
I don't cop that excuse tbh, he took the job and has re-signed everyone basically that's been up for re-signing or the club are since he arrived, This is the squad he's got, He re-signed BK

I firmly think that Des has progressed the team from where it was under Holbrook. He’s getting more out of players, and there’s obvious improvements on the field over the course of the entire season.

But he did re-sign BK lol. And we are still a bottom 4 team who got lapped tonight.

I was at tonight’s game so got to witness the Brian Kelly disaster first hand. BK’s performance was on the level you’d expect if match fixing was apparent. Seriously that bad. Just low IQ, selfish, cheap-win rubbish mixed in with some crap defensive reads and an inability to stick to much. Looked disinterested off the ball until we were attacking the line and he got to try and be a hero.

Manly’s yardage D was awful but we just couldn’t capitalise on any good field position. Halves were off. We didn’t earn many quick PTB’s in good ball. Didn’t offer much variety attacking that end of the field.

Erin & Keano our best. As has been the case many times this year.

Edge D started ok but got torched once they worked us out. Middles held up ok for the most part outside of the 2 plods. Keano got caught out a few times but admirable in his bomb defsuals. By end we were a scrambled mess just waiting for the final whistle.

In a year of ups and downs, this is another down. There will be more of both before the seasons done lol

My concern is we're actually a fair bit better but so is the rest of the comp and the two teams behind us will be next year and both the clubs behind us will have origin halves. I don't think we're far off but we also might be due to that, There's still a lot of evidence that the club has zero idea what it's doing with anything going forward either imo.

Also, As much as I can't stand BK or Lofi, Stop with Carter Gordon stuff please everyone till he's at least played a game of Q CUP, EVEN A GRADE AT TWEED OR SOMETHING...... 1 game of rugby league is all I ask for before he's apparently better then everyone in our squad. Wallabies stuff under Eddie doesn't mean a thing and I've read he wasn't able to get the job at 10 over the 2 at Reds.... Eddie picked a team as if he was going to be their in 4 years and picked the wrong guys from all accounts or at the wrong time.

BK is closer to Cam Smith then CG is to BK right now, Let's see something before the expectations, Pryce in Newcastle can barely cope with the NRL and has been playing it his whole life at centre and 5/8th.
