This is what I just posted on Facebook
Very unhappy that my little 4 year old daughter makes a poster of her favourite player. Staff member brings over player on the poster to a friends kid right next to us and player signs something (his shirt) for staff members kids friend and my daughters favourite player who’s made a poster of him and is showing him it decides to brush her and go to the sheds.
You are so hopeless at fan engagement. Oh my goodness me.
I’m going home now
My daughter is coping ok and I guess I’m using it as a learning experience about not getting what you want always and taking turns etc
But I’m personally pretty sad

And that staff member who looks like some private school knob with his “nice hair” in his mid to late 20s I have his head permanently etched in my memory. I could throttle him.

Pretty disgraceful. They did **** all on the field for the fans so the least they could do was stick around and sign things for everyone.

Whilst we have improved this year, we are still so far off the pace and our performances at the business end of the season shows what a huge gap there is.
Unless we start to commence changing our roster significantly next year with moving on all players not signed for next year and replace them with some quality players instead of the usual bench player or reserve grader, it will be another bottom 4 season next seadon. There is very few of our starting players who would be starting players at any of the too 4 clubs. The fact is the majority of our starting players are just not good enough across the board and the club is kidding themselves if they think we have a quality side.
The club lacks hardened forwards who can play at a high consistent level for long periods of time and get into the grind. They are mentally weak and cannot perform at high levels for long periods of time.
Mo and JJ started well but fell away terribly at the 20 minute mark. They were gassed and we bring on Clark and Palasi whilst the Roosters bring Lenui and May. What a mismatch.
Fifita has got owned for the 2 nd week in a row with Sua last week and Crighton this week. Fifita gets fatigued easily and is often not in position defensively. He is kidding if he thinks he will win a premiership with his performances for the team and lack of effort particularly in defence.
Foz had a shocker today and looked every inch of 34. He was stuffed after 20 minutes. He is not a natural half back and does not straighten the attack nor runs deep into the defensive line to hold the defence up unlike nearly every good halfback does.
AJ is not a centre fullstop.
The less said about BK the better.
The only shining lights this year has been KK and Randal and to a lesser extent Clarke but he is moving on next year.
It had been another wasted year IMO and It is time the club objectively looks at our performances particularly against the top 4 sides this year which will show the huge gap in our playing roster and start to move players on and recruit hardened NRL quality players.
It is also time to solve the KK, AJ, JC, Foz and CG before next year start with a view of making decisions for the long term benefit fir the team.

So when the players all split to the sheds there were a lot of people standing around the fences just baffled and wondering surely that isn’t it already.
Tino did stay out though to his credit when I gave up absolutely aghast at the club once again completely stuffing up fan engagement.
When I saw Calamity Annesley make an appearance I should have been wise enough to know something atrocious was about to occur and should have left there and then.

Absolutely spot on. Regardless of what happens on the field, the club and players can control how they interact with fans after the game. Even in defeat a simple high five, photo or signature is enough to keep the fan base supporting the club as it shows they genuinely care and can make a young supporter a life long fan.
If they want to spit out that garbage on the field and then not even have the brains to hang round and engage with every fan they see who spent their hard earned money which let’s face it is even harder to justify in times like this, then this club needs to pull its head in because ESPECIALLY the titans have zero good faith to burn.

Not players piss off as soon as they can because they can’t be bothered and lack some basic goddam respect round.
I also wonder about the staff to be Frank. I wonder if the players get away with this shite at established clubs or whether the staff have more sway with getting players to do these things properly and aren’t doormats.
They played like they don’t respect us and then left us in no doubt that they don’t afterwards.
I tell you I cannot believe that precious little 4 year old girl who hasn’t had it easy was holding out her poster to him she made right next to this guy with her texta and he was like yeah nah I’m going and ran faster than he ran the preceding 80mins all game back to the sheds with this staff member totally facilitating his behaviour because his friend was now happy.
Except Tino. Respect to the Club Captain.

It's a Des edict.... It apparently happened at Dogs and Manly and I've read a lot of similar complaints to what you've had Bods (not that personal though, sorry it happened to your daughter). JC used to go around constantly after games into the stands everywhere and take photos with every single person no matter the time yet now he does his best in what limited time he has, Same with Tino like you said, the only reason he was out there I'm guessing is because he wasn't playing, When he is that will stop I think.
A lot of people crapped on Reece Walsh the other week saying he's arrogant, He is the complete opposite when off the field and the Panthers game in Penrith was a great example, His face was caved in and he was down in enemy territory, He went around and took photos and signed everything he could for every fan down there, At every single QLD session held, He goes around to every single kid which have thousands... It's not that hard at the end of the day.
That one interaction can make a fan for life and is such a simple thing especially when at the end of the day the team is so ass and kids are rocking up in droves and support the club no matter what compared to us who are a bit more aware. of the trash being put out. The Roosters section was absolutely packed with people at the end of the game because they knew the players were coming down to give them time.

Yep that's what I've read/heard.
Was so funny walking in, Poor old CG was just sitting there waiting to sign things with no line, next to him was the face painting which was lined up about 40m.......Looked like CG was laughing his ass off.

I'm glad it wasn't Tino that dogged you and your little girl. Really disappointing that happened though, whoever it was. I do get the feeling we have one too many guys in this team who don't respect the jersey nor its fans, and its stories like that which piss me off.

Little fans, in decades to come become big fans. If they are treated well as little fans. It's a bit off topic but relates to a former part of Titans ownership who was around a few weeks ago hahaha.
My biggest sporting memory as a kid who loved surfing so much and all our local heros going to a Billabong signing at City Beach hahaha, in 2003 or so and the guys I admired like Occy, Parko and Burrow all couldn't have wanted to be there less and you could tell even at 11 years old, They were al hungover and couldn't be less interested.... The guy I didn't really like because he wasn't Aussie was Andy Irons, Andy was holding the line up which seemed annoying untill at the time but then you got to him and he was talking to every single kid including myself and felt like he really wanted to know how my surfing and school was going.
Then as you get a bit older and surf Snapper and constantly get dropped in on by those guys, you realize they were and are just pricks but Andy always stuck with me due to his legit warmness and later in life you realize that was a cool thing from him just taking a minute to talk, He was a 2 time world champ beating Kelly Slater but he still took his time to chat compared to the rest.
I'm sure we all have a story like this when someone of that fame in whatever section of life that stuck with us.
I'd like to see them really attend schools around here and hell even pre schools and read some books and meet the kids because honestly, They are actually probably the only reason the membership is growing because they aren't cynical like me and the rest of us jaded fans.
