Round 27: PANTHERS vs TITANS (2024)

Very hard to know what options are available team wise without the injury info (e.g. how would I find out if Francis is fit or not?).

Can't imagine the Panthers going into the game lightly given their form. With a similar performance, Penrith could hit three figures against us.

I don't know what injury Francis has but he did miss the last games for Tweed, Maybe the AC joint needed surgery and they want him right for pre season? Hau, R.Foran and Nikotemo were fit to go from last weeks game from what I could tell.

I know they aren't ready but they've improved during the season and I'm at the what's there to really lose point, I'd chuck them in the team and see what they have for 20/30 mins and let them know what they need to get to be an NRL player and what better team to learn against. This is armchair coaching but I'd take down 9/10 of the 17 with all the young crew who can play on the roster, Send a serious message to the "vets" in the main 17 that they are not up to standards and need to lift their game.

We can't end any better or worse on the ladder unless the Rabs flog Rorters.

If you think our edges are bad now, completely re-arranging both of them with a handful of training sessions will not be pretty lol

A few guys there who I don’t think have been playing well enough in cup to earn a call-up, despite the form of the nrl side. I’d like to see Arama given an opportunity though

I personally think Pahulu is the 13 going forward or hope, He's the best forward this clubs ever had come through juniors right now and EXACTLY what we need next to Tino...

Pahulu is the one who with Tino I'm building the club around.... If I was Des, Pahulu is the 13 for the next 10 years or whatever, I don't care who or what comes through, He's the guy.

Further on from Mdrew post,

David Fifita won’t play in Round 27 as he heads in for surgery on his ankle. No word on the specific surgery type but Titans expect him to be fit for the start of preseason.Phil Sami will also undergo ankle surgery after dealing with a niggling injury in recent weeks.

Pahulu dropped to 18th man.
Hau and Alick-Wiencke on the pine.
Fermor stays at center.
Randall and Haas round out the 2nd row pairing.
Kini back at fullback.

Like an idiot, I'm excited to see how these players go. Well some of them anyway. Will I never learn?

Looks like a farewell for JAW. Hope he has a blinder and gets more than 20.

Excited for Hau. Hope he gets more than 20.

Hopefully Randall on the left will smarten up those clowns out wide.

Excitement to see the kids debut is totally right and it doesn't have any bearing on expectations of the game's result ... for me I am also happy for Hau to get a shot, it's just a pity it's under these circumstances ... I wish him all the best.
