Round 4: ROOSTERS vs TITANS (2025)

Oh yeah. Fantastic effort from the boys. As someone who watches replays of our wins it had been a while since I watched one with roosters in ir. Nine years to be exact. Up the farrrrrkin titans.

All I'll say is maybe judging guys of 1/2 games is wild to me and legit poisonous as a fanbase and club..... I'll take 25+ games unless they show nothing good, Franchise showed a lot of good in the Knights game + the Broncos game last year where he came back after doing his shoulder and before that scored a trt, He had errors yes... (Some need to be contextual with wingers to) but that's going to happen.

Lofi still has a tonne of errors, Does anyone remember how bad he was at the start????? That's why Maumalo is parked in the top 30.

It's the same with Klese despite his errors, Everyone COMPLETELY ignores how good he is at a lot of things that really benefit the team.

People were saying JDG shouldnt be in the team off "stats" and work effort, Yes he's not Kini with the ball but he doesn't lack work ethic ever at all.
 
I did miss seeing our Keano running around in his signature fashion but De Groot didn’t look out of place at all. Looked great in fact! Slick and unfazed. Can’t wait to see more.
 
Gonna be hard to distribute points but gotta give JC a huge shoutout. Kicked well and defended well.

But he also saved a few tries and repeat sets by reading their fifth tackle play

And that intercept flipped the game

He is so classy, his game IQ and instinct is insane. Just being in the right spot for those grubbers and casually scooping them up with 1 hand, and of course the intercept.

My only fault with him tonight was not directing any traffic to the right for 2 straight sets once Nawaqa went off, especially when Fifi was fired up. We got there in the end though
 
What's funny about the always looking the same stuff.

Last week if you didn't look at scoreboards and went off stats you would've thought it'd be the opposite scoreline wise and the same this week.... Both times we've won by 18+...

I thought he was missing a bit on his kicks. I think brimmo has a better shorter kick game and campbell can send it when he needs to.

Aye I'm normally one of the more positive people on here and do try not to spew a lot of the toxic stuff that is said by majority on here (albeit I do have an agenda against BK but he is also thoroughly proving me wrong) But we are all allowed our opinions and he just didn't do enough to impress me last week in his first full outing. This week he has impressed me, and I do expect him to grow into it more. It also does not help when he gets talked up from his cup performances also when at times they were also, mid at best. End of the day, wee are allowed to be critics of our teams individual & group performances. I still do think Lofi will immediately slot back in once he's fit, and that's not me discrediting Francis at all; Lofi will need to have a proper stinker to be hooked and there's clear reasoning in dessie's eyes why he picks Lofi week in, week out.

Either way, I am happy to be proven wrong on my opinions, and am glad Francis proved me wrong!

I don't think Des is that big of a fan of Lofi at all, Des dropped Lofi last year and has been close a few times pretty sure besides injuries to Francis/Jojo at bad times. I'm not saying Franchise is taking the spot either but I wouldn't be shocked if Des is liking what he's seeing and we're still putting points on, Once CG comes back I think our wings will be Sami and Jojo.

Why not judge of consistency? There's a huge difference between having mid performances and being a mid player, Franchise, JDG and others have proven they are above the level in cup and deserve a crack at the next level, Whether it goes right or wrong doesn't matter, They are getting a crack.

Des also isn't or was never going to blow up all the pre season training off a few injuries/bad game from a rookie.
 
@Cowa as much as I want Gordon in the team I must say I’m actually really liking the edge of Sami and Jojo (other than that weak effort for the Chooks first try). They seem to be pretty in sync with their jamming in and have been shutting down a lot of plays.

I also can’t believe I’m saying this but Kelly really hasn’t pissed me off at all in the past 2 weeks, I can’t recall anything bad tonight and I think there was just 1 forced offload that went to shit last week. Of course CG could be a gun though and it would be great to get him in but I’m happy with the centres so far this year.

We’re winning dirty. Reminds me of 2016 pre-Hayne Plane (crash).

That said, we’ve beaten two heavily depleted Knights and Roosters sides so I’m not going to get ahead of myself.
