Round 5: TITANS vs DOLPHINS (2025)

The Phins are looking VERY average so far this year. We actually have a great draw to start the year and could win 6 straight if we actually play to our potential (lol)

From the press conference it sounds like Des doesn't want to get too carried away by tonight's game and really wants to build a campaign, just judging by his tone.

Is Jolliffe back?

100% … Tits v Flaps is definitely the type of game where we’ve had our pants pulled down.
That's basically every game to be fair. I'm confident, We just need to keep going up their guts and get at Nikorima.

It's maybe a bigger test then the Rorters to actually see where we're at as a team, They win this now they're really beginning to tease me......

GIlbert looks to be getting back to his best. He was very busy last night. I think he, Plath and The Great Kaufusi will be a hurdle up front. I also like blokes like Nicholls

They're outside backs are good and they've played together constantly for a good while now but their halves are the weakness. As Cow says, Nikorima is a target. Marshall-King can be so hot and cold too. Probably more warm than hot.

Dolphins look gritty, definitely love to put a shot on with Gilbert, Plath, Stone even the oldies Kenny and Kafusi.

Think this will be a physical game, and agree with above that we can't get complacent, they are 0-4 and will be desperate for a win.

I hope we can some how unlock mongrel Fifita going forward, you could tell he was "on" as soon as he came off the bench. Definitely took it personal with Spencer which I love, angry Fifita is exactly what we our team needs!

I am really liking Brock Gray, he is all effort and loves some contact. Hopefully his playing minutes ramp up a but to give the forwards some more rest.

I think Klese needs to come off earlier, he started well, but does have a lot of crucial handling errors in his game.

Also been happy with BK this year, been putting in the effort, less dumb errors, likes to put a shot on.

Excited for this game but we need to turn up with energy and be ready for a grind!

If Jolliffe comes back, and we wish to give Brock Gray more minutes, who else should receive reduced minutes? A bit of a head scratcher for mine.

Also I thought about the Iszac F scenario and if it would be better to carry a back on the bench but honestly it's much more likely for a forward to receive a HIA or injury since there are more of them and they receive heavier contact and having a middle rotation go to plan is just as important. If a back goes down we just put Fermor in centre and Randy or Gray can help with back row minutes if Klese or Fifita need a rest and the middle forward receiving no minutes fills in for missing time of the other filling in.

Having Tino come on for three stints with small rests is proving to be a master move.

Des played Klese 53 minutes straight in both the edge and front row. I would be reducing his time as he struggles with his hands under fatigue.

Not gonna lie that's almost an L for us, guy has been trying way too hard and fatiguing, missing tackles and giving away stupid penalties.

If Verrills is out, I assume Randy comes in at Hooker who then plays the utility role? Randy has been such an important cog with Tino’s rest periods?

Hau comes in and Randy plays 80 at 9 (or close enough)? Beau can drop back in a backs reshuffle, just doesn't cover the halves.

Or maybe Weaver but where do you hide him in D (would you make AJ defend in the middle)? Not good if there's an early injury.
