Round 6: TITANS vs DRAGONS

A danger game. (As opposed to the teams we play that we hope to beat if we are lucky) The Saints have too many good players for them to remain so dismal.

If we are to not get back to back wooden spoons then this game is simply a “must win”.
That needs to be drummed into our player’s heads because our blokes know how shameful a wooden spoon is whereas the St Merge players don’t.
It should motivate us for a supreme effort.

I think the st merge players are doing what our players did to the last two coaches. Refusing to play so they get sacked. Hope it continues next week.

And we are coming last again.
The bar I’ve set for a pass mark this season is to not get the spoon and to clean out the dead wood.
These two points are critical to not be full of shame and embarrassment again.

We've actually got a great draw ahead with Dragons, Broncos, Sharks, Warriors our next 4. If we can get a good win here we could go on a pretty decent run over the next month, but if we lose this our confidence will be shot.

Thompson straight into the 1, Kelly back to centre and Sami back to the wing. Very happy with that side, just hope Roberts (21) isn't a late inclusion.

OMG, am I in the right place? Where’s all the negativity? Great stuff Coach you’ve silenced the Forum ... now let’s win some games.

Happy to see Fermors name edge closer to a debut.

We are going to have real trouble coming out of our own 20 with that back 3. I like the inclusion of Thompson but both Don and Sami have no physicality when returning the ball.

Fermor must be impressing at training which is great. I hope he gets his opportunity soon - am really keen to see what he's got.

It's a relief seeing a proper fullback playing fullback. Sami can't be faulted on effort but I'm sure he will also be relieved that he gets to go back to the wing - could tell he was losing some of his explosiveness as a result of fatigue.

Peachey must surely be struggling to hold that spot in the 17. I shudder in anticipation of the inevitable lazy head-high arm sling tackle attempt when he retreats too slowly and someone runs past him.
