Round 8: COWBOYS vs TITANS (2025)

RCG with 4 runs for 29m in 25 mins, JJ 6 runs for 41m in 33mins and Grey with 11 mins and 1 run.

That's probably why our guys looked cooked hahahaha, I got no idea what Des is doing.
The use of RCG is just bizarre for me. We bought him for experience. Get him out there when the young forwards are on so he can show some leadership.

I’ve been quite impressed with JDG now he’s getting some regular game time. He seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Really hoping we can develop him into a decent centre over time.

It looks the coaches had an agreement cause Mclean played the same minutes haha. I don't get not putting RCG out there when we're getting cooked since he's one of our best defenders in the middle and like you said, Bought here for that?

I didn't watch the last game. The Raiders loss hurt and I could see the same thing unfolding against the Cows. I never usually miss a game but the game has declined to the point that I don't watch other games like I used to. If we keep this up, this might be my last year of Rugby League as a central fixture in my life.

That Des has mismanaged his bench repeatedly is of real concern to me. I don't think we have fitness issues. The game is just designed to be played by 17.

JAW should be selected this week and nobody on the bench should play less than 20. Des will probably pick Klese over JAW and Arama and play Randy and Mo too long. Replacing Tino and RCG with Randy and Mo is just suicidal to me. We've seen the results from that mistake repeated.

WISE UP, DES. YOU'RE NOW ON NOTICE!!!

Just a thought about des not using his bench.

Could he trying to send a message that he hasn't got enough depth? Like could he be saying to the club behind closed doors that these guys he's sitting just simply aren't ready for NRL and he is only willing to play guys he feels are ready for NRL to force the clubs hand and clean out the squad?

Does he have a history of not using players on the bench?

Bit of both maybe? Not sure about his history but I don't think it's a coincidence an article came out by cm last week about depth but only named players he hadn't been involved with which felt lazy because he's been here for a majority of the deals. If he doesn't trust them it goes back on him because we've seen most of them play NRL and at least handle small stints so why are they unable to do it now?

Arama is 21 and done more then enough to prove himself in cup so why not play him? I can maybe get it with Iszac who's not as good but Arama makes zero sense and then add on to the weird calls like Fitz on the bench and I think it's just as much he's struggling for any ideas or unable to move away from his plans that aren't working.

Could also point to him being under more pressure then we know?

This last statement would make complete sense.
Whom better to entrust your career with than Payne Haas’ brother in the flesh!

He does have a history of not using his bench, yes. I think if he truly believed his bench wasn't up to NRL standard however, his best evidence would be to give them plenty of minutes to fail and prove his point.

I do see what you mean.

I have no idea how his mind works though
