Talented junior players not linked to the Titans but maybe should be

Scone Rugby League junior Seth Coe has moved up to the Gold Coast to attend The Southport School (TSS) and on the weekend started at inside centre and vice captain of the TSS Second XV against Shore Sydney Church of England Grammar School.

Even though he is still U14 Auckland youngster Kaiya Tafea will start from the bench for the TSS U15A side this morning in their away match against Brisbane Boys College.

Early August 2024 saw Noah Te Kiri named in the 2024 Reds Academy U14 South East Queensland Barbarians representative squad out of Kings Christian College.

Early August 2024 saw Tyson Tai named in the 2024 Reds Academy U14 South East Queensland Barbarians representative squad.

Early August 2024 saw Murrie Herrmann named in the 2024 Reds Academy U14 Brisbane White representative squad out of Brisbane State High School.

Talented Soieli Vea will continue at inside centre today for the TSS First XV away against Ipswich Grammar School.

No doubt he will choose basketball where he is considered a future NBA First Round draft pick but heck I can dream that Roman Siulepa chooses to play rugby league with reports that the Titans checked in on him.

Roman Siulepa at 17 is currently dominating the GPS First XV rugby competition at No. 8 for Brisbane State High School.

Agapetos Lote-Felo has been outstanding for the TSS First XV this year at No. 8 as a Year Ten student so it is scary to think what the next two years in the TSS First XV will bring.

The Gold Coast local started 2024 playing for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls in the CC Cup competition. A talent to be sure.

Roman Siulepa with two more tries for BSHS in their Round Eight GPS First XV victory yesterday against Gregory Terrace.

Interesting that he got cut from the Jackjumpers on a pretty good deal because he refused to give up rugby.

Round One of the 2024 GPS School Boy Rugby First XV competition saw Dylan Terblanche start at fullback for TSS against Gregory Terrace with Dylan Terblanche recording a try assist in the 13th minute when after receiving the ball to the left of a ruck Dylan Terblanche ran from thirty five to within fifteen metres of the try line to draw the Gregory Terrace fullback and pass to his left to put his winger over to score in the left corner.

Dylan Terblanche also executed a great try saving tackle in the 41st minute when after his opposing fullback made a line break Dylan Terblanche brought him down with a great low one on one tackle in open space eight metres from the try line near the left the touchline.

Round One of the 2024 GPS School Boy Rugby First XV competition saw Agapetos Leto-Felo start at No. 8 for TSS against Gregory Terrace with Agapetos Leto-Felo scoring in the 27th minute with a run to his right from close range from the back of a dominant TSS scrum with Agapetos Leto-Felo crashing over to score three metres from the left goal post.

Agapetos Leto-Felo started at No. 8 for the TSSS First XV in Round Two of the GPS competition against St Joseph’s College Nudgee and in the 45th minute from a short TSS line out, Agapetos Leto-Felo took the ball cleanly and ran the ball from twenty two to ten metres from the try line before off-loading to his right. Then in the 64th minute Agapetos Leto-Felo carried the ball down the right channel from forty four to twenty eight metres from the try line near the right touchline.

Dylan Terblanche started at fullback for the TSS First XV in Round Two of the GPS competition against St Joseph’s College Nudgee with Dylan Terblanche making a good one on one tackle in open space on the Nudgee outside centre after he had made a line break with Dylan Terblanche cutting him down thirty five metres from the try line near the right touchline.

Dylan Terblanche also did well in the 18th minute when he chased a high mid-field Dallas Ingram bomb with Dylan Terblanche outjumping his opposing fullback to take the bomb on the full thirty five metres from the try line before recycling the ball.

Dylan Terblanche continued at fullback for TSS in Round Three of the GPS First XV competition at home to Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) with Dylan Terblanche making a line break down the left touchline in the 67th minute to run the ball from his own twenty metre mark to within five metres of the halfway with Dylan Terblanche breaking a tackle along the way.

In the 6th minute after taking a TGS kick on the full running back towards his try line eighteen metres out Dylan Terblanche returned the kick down the right touchline to six metres into TGS territory. Then in the 8th minute Dylan Terblanche worked the ball down a short left blindside off an inside pass to run from twenty two to within seven metres of the try line.

Dylan Terblanche worked a good play with Viliami Fifita in the 26th minute when after Dylan Terblanche received an off-load from his inside thirty seven metres from the try line he worked his way to twenty metres from the try line before getting a right arm off-load away to his left to Viliami Fifita who got within three metres of the try line in the left corner.

Agapetos Leto-Felo continued at No. 8 for TSS in Round Three of the GPS First XV competition at home to Toowoomba Grammar School (TGS) with Agapetos Leto-Felo coming close to scoring in the 51st minute when he looped around the back of a TSS line-out win with Agapetos Leto-Felo lopping to his right and after receiving the ball twenty metres out Agapetos Leto-Felo ran towards the centre of the field and after bursting through a tackle Agapetos Leto-Felo was ankle tapped from behind three metres from the try line but was back to his feet in an instant only to be held up over the try line by four defenders five metres to the right of the goal posts.

Not a bad effort at all for Roman Siulepa to be named at No. 8 in the Brisbane State High School Team of the Decade so far!

Earlier this week Dylan Terblanche was named in the 2024 South East Queensland U16 Emerging Reds Cup squad.

Hi Mdrew.
I went to the National schoolboys final and saw Rueben Tamariki play and he was just outstanding with his power running and running of great lines to score 2 tries. I understand he has not signed with anyone and I have never heard of him previously. I wonder whether you know much about his background, what your thoughts are of him and whether the Titans should be having a much closer look at him.
