Titans Chat

Totally ar$ed it ... can't fault our effort in defence but our execution is only passable and our attack is woeful ... worse than at any other time and we only seem to come to life in the last ten minutes ... all the old errors are still there with structure and ball-handling ... the halves seem to be a large part of that or their lack of confidence to overcall the big-name forwards.

We are very lucky to be where we are. I'm worried when we face stiffer competition especially with teams that can actually cross the line.

Who would have thought, Souths, Storm and Roosters all out of the 8!

........and that scares me DH coz that means 3 teams that are currently there will drop out. I think there are 4 to choose from, Titans, Panthers, Eels and maybe Tigers. Dragons will stay there with Widdop and Dugan running the show. :ugh:

I think that the Dragons are the most susceptible ... an injury to either Dugan or Widdop and they are in trouble. The Tigers are the most likely as they have the best coach and the best depth of talent.

Truth, its going to be one of the tightest Final 8s ever.

In other news, I just got back from my first trip to Macau. It's a shame it takes gambling for us to build such amazing things.

Hooray, I finally got my car drivers license! In the Netherlands, you are eligible to take up lessons when you are 18, which I did so in 2005. Yet, after a failed test in 2006, I stopped, since I went to Uni, and never had enough money. I decided to break the hiatus, and pick it up again last October, although I had to find a new instructor in a new city (since I have moved from the suburbs in the south of the country to Amsterdam City) with completely new settings and new rules and regulations. Hence, after 9 years, I finally got my license! Hooray, crazy **** cost me 2000 EUR (taking up lessons are extremely expensive in here, bah!), so I can finally stock up cash again :)!

Good on you mate, the open road awaits.

I have a friend, who will remain nameless, who didnt get their license until they were 35 but are now well worn motorists.

Ive been in Hong Kong for about 4 months now and I think Ive forgotten how to drive. It's gonna be bloody weird driving again!

Heh, I'm not sure, but how is traffic like in HK? Busy? Crowded?

Most people don't have cars. Its probably not as bad as you think. But they do drive like rally car drivers. And even though its the law, they never stop for pedestrians at cross walks. Haven't many people run a red light so its a weird situation where manly seem to speed and jam on the breaks but seem to obey the rules otherwise. Traffic is pretty bad at peak times.

Chaserz ... I have been driving in mainland China for over 10 years now and it's all about one very simple rule: no confrontation. Here, unlike in Hong Kong which is a bitsa Pommie/China mentality, as long as you can control road rage you can do anything. Oh by the way, congrats on your licence ... welcome to the madhouse.

I tell you what, if people log in and get some news, have some debate and get a laugh. Our job here is done. :)

Hmmm, no news in here in this part of the world. Aside from European Elections maybe. Oh and Crimean unrest. That's about it for now :p.

Sorry that I have not been on much lately. Moving apartment here in Hong Kong. Finally settled in. Just in time for Four Nations!
