Titans jerseys and merchandise - New 2024 range

G’day All. If I wanted to get some team gear in store so I can try it for size, would there be any shops on the Coast you’d recommend? Are the Mega Footy Store at Ashmore or Rebel Sport at Robina any good for Titans' stuff? I’m in the southern hinterland, so somewhere in the Nerang to Robina stretch would be closest. Cheers!

We're proud to introduce you to the 2023 Gold Coast Titans ANZAC Round Jersey. The Titans will wear this jersey in ANZAC Round (8) against The Dolphins on Sunday 23rd April at Suncorp Stadium.

This special jersey shares the story of Australian Soldier, Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG, and commemorates the tenth year since his death whilst serving in Afghanistan.

Commencing in the 2021 NRL ANZAC Round fixture, the Gold Coast Titans have awarded the Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG Memorial Trophy to the person on the field that exemplifies leadership in the way Cameron did with his demonstration of service, selflessness, and sacrifice, which has been presented post-game by Doug and Kaye Baird. Past winners of the award include AJ Brimson in 2021 and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui in 2022.

This special jersey shares the story of Corporal Cameron Baird VC, MG, and commemorates the tenth year since his death whilst serving for our country in Afghanistan.

Doug Baird OAM (Cameron’s father) says it was very important for the family to work with the Titans to ensure the jersey depicted Cameron’s experience.

“We have worked closely with the Titans on this design and we are very proud of the result.

“Cameron would be humbled by this design, and we know the players will treat this jersey with the respect it deserves.

“The jersey depicts Cameron at the front of joint efforts on the battlefield where he proudly represented his country.”

This jersey proudly boasts the Cam’s Cause logo above the club emblem on the left chest, and the line “Aspire to Inspire – CSBVCMG” across the back collar of the jersey. With a subtle camo print at the top of the jersey, the design then blends down into a silhouette of soldiers and helicopters in the background. In the foreground, taking pride of place, is a stylised image of Cameron Baird himself, based off a photo of Cameron while in service.

Cam's Cause is a non-for-profit organisation founded in memory of Corporal Cameron Stewart Baird VC, MG, who was a member of the Special Operations Task Group and was from the 2nd Commando Regiment based at Holsworthy Barracks in Sydney, New South Wales. Corporal Baird, who was shot dead leading his team to safety during a battle, was an outstanding Special Forces soldier. He lived by the attributes of uncompromising spirit and honour, constantly inspiring those around him to achieve greater things. Corporal Baird died how he lived; at the front, giving it his all, without any indecision.

Following the ANZAC Round game, each Titans player will sign their match worn jersey and these will be auctioned, with half of the proceeds to be donated to Cam’s Cause.

Past winners of the award include AJ Brimson in 2021 and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui in 2022. At the time of his death, Cameron was a Titans member and his parents Doug and Kaye are still members to this day. On the eve of the 10th anniversary of Cameron’s death (22 June, 2013), the Gold Coast Titans will carry Cameron’s legacy when facing The Dolphins during NRL’s ANZAC Round on Sunday 23rd April at Suncorp Stadium.

Doug Baird OAM has been engaged with the club and players around ANZAC Round for the past few years and said, “I’ve been proud to tell Cameron’s story to the playing group over the last few seasons and this year with the help of this jersey design, I look forward to sharing Cameron’s story with the wider Rugby League community as part of NRL’s ANZAC Round.”

Hey DH, I think the bobble head is a player jinx. Also I do like those Yankie and Ruski helos … just joking but gee some people are just so precious … love both concepts.

The Gold Coast Titans have today launched their 2023 Indigenous Round jersey.

The jersey has been designed by Narelle Urquhart, a Wiradjuri woman with connections into the Bundjalung Nation of the Northern Rivers and tells the story of the club's past, it's future and the people it represents.

Buy your 2023 Titans Indigenous Jersey here.

The club will wear the jersey during the NRL's Indigenous Round when they take on the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs on Sunday 21 May.

Read on below to discover more about the design and Ms Urquhart.

The story behind the jersey...

The jersey can be split into three parts:

Our Strong Future - the gold at the top of the jersey represents the strong future of the Gold Coast Titans and what is to come. Based on the club's strong foundations, from the inception of the club, the future of the club and that the community is strong. Gold is one of the prominent colours featured across the Gold Coast Titans, a nod to the sunshine, beaches and energy across the Gold Coast. Our future is with our community - Titans Together = Stronger Together.

Our Legacy - the stars on the jersey represent the legacy the club holds. From the five First Nations captains, to Life Member, Preston Campbell, who founded the All-Stars game which is an important contribution to First Nations communities across the country. The smaller stars represent the club's legacy in First Nations program participants - like Lakeeta McGrath who has been involved in both the Deadly Futures and School to Work programs. Lakeeta was named as the 2022 NRL Youth Ambassador and is an integral part of the club's legacy for the community.

The bottom of the jersey represents the region. From the mountains of the hinterland, to the mangroves of the Tweed River, the jersey represents the various clans of the Yugambeh Language Group and the Bundjalung Nation.

The Artist

This season’s artist, Narelle Urquhart is a Wiradjuri woman with connections into the Bundjalung Nation of the Northern Rivers and her pieces show the beauty that lies deep within her culture. Painting professionally for over 25 years, Narelle is no stranger to the spotlight, with launches in Parliament and works adorning the walls of the Gold Coast University Hospital’s birthing suite, just some of the places her artwork has come to life.

Also an Indigenous Engagement Advisor at Lindisfarne College Tweed, Narelle’s connection to her culture and the Gold Coast Titans is something she lives and breathes. Two of Narelle’s four children, have been heavily involved with the Titans since the club’s inception. Her son, Malachi spent most of the his teenage years as the team ball boy and her daughter, Sinead starting working with club as a trainee.

Like this one a lot ... and the Magic Round Jersey was a win and therefor a big goodbye to that monkey on the back.
