Touch Football Australia

Titanic

Immortal
There are a lot spruiking the NRL's investment in the TFA as another slap in the face for the kick & giggle mob, however, a closer look shows that the AFL have made serious inroads into the sports' leadership with the recent appointment of ex-Brisbane Bears Marcus Ashcroft as CEO and AFL Masters player Danielle Smith as a Director. For sure I am going to be branded a scare-monger but remember where you first read it: the AFL has looked at the talent pool in the non-contact sports and its relationship with the NRL with green eyes for ever.

Sounds like the type of story Roy Masters would be interested in.

We are lucky to have touch footy and I wish we could form closer, formal ties to tag. But they are still part of the unofficial Rugby League family.

AFL would have envious eyes. Especially wit the type of players that are coming out of touch to NRL over the years. AFL is also being pushed by a renewed Basketball, which target a similar body type.
