What can we do better?

A bit more but..

Embrace the culture around here... Put out way more shirts like the AJ 100 game one, get actual stuff that can be worn around on a night out and not look like a nerd after a game, Put out mad cuban shirts that have a tiny Titans logo and in our colours, Keep everything simple. Get hats out there like the ones the players are rocking Ed's, Get a song made for the club by even Amy Shark or some shit.... Making money is so easy here yet nothing is actually done.

Don't announce a podcast and give up early, 1 or 2 games with bad audio and give up...That's probably a bad sign of the gong show going on.....

Give more to the fans like every other club... FFS Ricky has just did an hour plus interview for the Raiders podcast.... Tell Des to actually talk to local media and tell him they aren't out for his head like in Sydney and it's a way different thing up here.... It's not Sydney where you're a story no matter what, You losing 8 games and there's no heat, Realize where you are!!!! He needs to get out and talk to media. Every single team out there is running a legit podcast involving the club and people around it, Run one with AJ and do sessions. Do something like the hot wing challenge with AJ and talk to club members and have fun...

Actually get these guys in the public because it's a good group and they're marketable and reliable. I don't hear or see anything from them ever, Get them doing local charity stuff constantly to get on the news everywhere.

Our media team gets constantly praised, They are trash imo or they are either being given no access or very lazy and horrible. They've got a goldmine with this group.... Barely anything is actually done besides some AI pictures or a quick edited vid of 60 seconds of a player doing something, Every other club has so much more content on players, their teams and everything else. I want to know what our players are like... I'd love to hear about Jolliffe, Moe and a bunch of these guys with AJ leading....

Locally noone is out for his Dessies head, He's been screwing constantly with media and it's fine with Badel and Meyn but I actually think he should show more respect to the local journalists who aren't hunting for controversy...

All our jerseys looks great and then there's the big lotto logo on the front, That ruins the jerseys.... I don't care how much the club is getting, Create a better jersey and I might buy the one you want me to instead of previous years on special.... How much is it really worth?
I just realised I could go on forever but I really do think so much is lacking at the club and they really don't know how to go. The social media people do incredible stuff with their posts, My issue is it's nowhere enough and they need to be let free.

The best moneymaker we could do is just to send HSS, Tino, JC and Lofi wearing nothing but g strings locked in a cage up and down the M1 with a "save me at the game at Cbus"... At least 2k more woman at the game and 500 or so gays and hundreds of angry husbands... Sounds easy to me and that's 15k fans or so at the game. We'd only really need to do it against the horrible home games against the other trash teams.

Clubs gotta get creative... If merch is good people will buy... There's so many customers availbable if the shit was ok to wear in pubic. There's every kind if option and colours, It's not that hard...... So useless, instead we get a great aboriginal jersey with a trash logo ruining it.

How much is the sponser payiing for that trash? Bettwe be huge cause that shit is criminally ugly....

CowB maybe you never post again, even for an old fart like me this post will never be beaten. Agree with every one of your suggestions. The Club has always stepped up to the starting line but struggled to cross it. Inspirational. At one stage I had the inbound tour operators, the big ones, adding our home games into their tour packages. That’s a load of new market with cash, spare time and merch souvenirs for nil advertising cost but …. Covid then nothing from the club.

I really agree with @Cowabunga's ideas. And I'm interested too to learn more about what other clubs do, I also remember the Titans podcast... er effort.

Seems sometimes we don't follow through off the field too and don't have a ticker.

@Titanic,, extremely interested in tourism and tour groups. We should chat about this soon.

Absolutely bang on the money with everything you have said here mate. Would love to actually present these ideas to the club and not take a "we'll be in touch" or a "no" as the answer. The only answer that should be accepted is a "yes these are great ideas that we will look to implement immediately". Let the loyal and diehard members be involved more.

AJ could easily run a podcast. Doesn't even need to be about footy. Let us have a club run one where each week we actually get a proper insight into the player's lives (to an extent of course). Let us hear some banter. Some laughs between the boys. Get them to encourage people to come to games, be among the vibes and atmosphere, etc.

@Titanic Got any more info on the tourism? I've thought we should offer deals that include accomodation, tickets to the game, theme parks (Village roadshow are sponsors after all..).

Exactly. The Gold Coast is supposed to be Australia's tourism capital.

There should be a dedicated hub linking off of this. An have it multi-lingual.

We should also make an effort to accommodate rival fans who visit, making sure they have a good experience. Years ago I used to lend my flagpoles that I kept at Robina to some other club's supporters. So they could just travel with the flags. This created major goodwill, which was communicated through their fanbases too.

Nice one DH.

On the topic of slogans. Which was being casually discussed in the Signings thread.... I thought I'd move my reply here.

Thru n Thru / Feel the Energy. Both are terrible IMO. I found the thru n thru slogan to be an insult to fans who were questioning the direction of the club at the time. And I didn't feel like we needed to create a perceived hierarchy of fans, with the ones who support blindly at the top.

We have a lot of fences to mend and a lot of people to win back. And you don't do that with a regressive slogan.

One slogan I liked, I guess it was around 09/10, was For The Coast.
