2023 Super Coach and Tipping

(a) I have selected the Titans to win every week of every season that I have participated in tipping and never won a bloody thing (surprise surprise) and this season will be no different ... I'm fortifying myself for another belting.

(b) I have finished in the top 10% of the SuperCoach competition every year I have participated and this year I will be hard-pressed not to choose the whole team ... lol ... Lofi, AJ, Tannah and Big Dave are irresistible while Tino depends on whether Cleary or Turbo are worth the risk.

Is there any tips other then just getting good spine players or the 7 550k players or whatever. What scores points in supercoach? I heard it's pretty much all about attack.

There are lots of strategies but only the winners can boast they work and no one has won it twice so … suggestions are: (1) don’t make too many changes early because performances aren’t constant; (2) rotate cheap players as they increase in price to build your team value; (3) you only need 17 quality players at any given time so the others are only for price increase speculation; (4) remember that if one of your 17 doesn’t play then your lowest scoring non player gets that spot so try to avoid limited minute selections; (5) select on form not on loyalty … that’s all I’ve got.

Your the don Titanic, Thanks.

What am I picking scores for though? Runs? tries? metres? schlong size? Where are my scores coming from?

I still can't find a good guide that teaches me any, what's the deal with injuries?

Haircuts rate well and the SC website lists the detail but the easiest way to transition the formulae is to look at their prices. The prices all reflect previous performances which is a good starting point.

You can see why some players who are very good NRL players are not SC relevant. There was a time where you would load up on 2RF fwds as they were SC gold (C Parker from the Broncos was a god) but these days Fb and half’s are the real points machines. Still need good 2RF and it pays to invest in at least 1 top hooker.

Question time to the brain's trust.

Is it bad tactics to field players selected as reserves for Round 1 as SC run-on players? Also how many R1 interchange players are acceptable for a Squad of 17?

You want as many starters as possible in your team. Even in your reserves. I only have 1 non starting player in my whole side and that's franklin pele

Yep try, where possible, to avoid players in your starting 17 that are bench NRL players. I only have 2 players in my entire team that aren't starting NRL players.
