The Gold Coast Titans are deeply saddened to announce the passing of long-serving Leagueability player, Hudson Wicks, at the age of 24.

Devasting news and much love to his family, friends and teammates. Hudson was pretty heavily featured in the Adam Hills doco from memory on the world cup in 2022 and whenever the club uploads Leagueability videos + always see him at games.

So sad. We have lost one of us. Commiserations to family and friends. We are a GC family.
 
This is very sad news and I first read about it from people involved with the Australian physical disability league. A project and group of people I have been following for years and have been so very impressed with.

We won't forget you, Hudson. We don't forget anyone who ever marched in the Titans Legion.

Reading the article really showed what rugby league and the club gave him. And what he gave back to those who worked and played with him.
 
Tigers should do something really funny and put Galvin in reserve grade for all of 2025 and 2026. He’s on bugger all at the moment so not like it would ruin their cap. Send a message to the parasite player managers.

Unless they get a compelling offer, they'd be silly not to. The kid seems super entitled for a second year player. NUMEROUS requests for a release in what was a successful rookie campaign? Seems like a diva and his manager is a known agitator.
 
There are so many agendas amongst the media that getting the truth is impossible. I’m just glad it’s not the Titans this time.
 
The u17s Qld Country vs City games are on qplus for free if anyone wants to watch some footy, The girls game is on and has been a great game so far.
 
Are they both into full contact training or just back running? You would have to think if CG was fit from the beginning he would’ve debut before Fitzgibbon and Francis got a jersey
 
Don't know about HSS although depth is important now but very pleased for CG's own health that he is not a complete write-off.
 
I’m going to play devils advocate here and suggest that under the high ball and in defence he’s been good, in attack with his much reported speed, not so much. I’m expecting more this week.

I haven’t really seen him have the ability to return kicks our defence is so poor every end to set has been an attacking kick and so far he’s been so safe under the high ball for us - I just looked at the stats he’s had 50 kick return m this year in the 3 games vs 48 on his debut… I think given the opportunity he’d go ok if our defence could aim up and are forced to kick from in their half ever 😂

Teams also seem to very much target Francis on kicks every time it goes towards him I can’t look
