Brody Hawkins Malcolm started on the right wing for the Southport Tigers in the Week Two GCRL U20 Major Semi-Final against the Burleigh Bears and in the 7th minute Brody Hawkins Malcolm carried the ball down a short right blindside from ten to twenty three metres from the try line after breaking a tackle.

From a twenty metre tap in the 11th minute Brody Hawkins Malcolm made eleven metres and then in the 50th minute Brody Hawkins Malcolm ran out of dummy half to his left from twelve metres out and was only stopped by four defenders less than a metre from the try line twelve metres in from the right corner post. Also in the 58th minute from the right of the dummy half Brody Hawkins Malcolm ran the ball through the centre of the field from sixteen to thirty metres from his try line.
 
Ryder Williams came off the bench to operate at five eight for the Southport Tigers in the 46th minute of the GCRL First Grade Week Two Final against the Currumbin Eagles with Ryder Williams recording a try assist in the 56th minute when after receiving the ball wide on the right side of the field Ryder Williams ran the ball from eighteen to four metres from the try line and whilst being held by two defenders Ryder Williams got his right arm free and got a “low arm” off-load away to his inside for his support player to score ten metres in from the left corner post.

Almost immediately after coming onto the field Ryder Williams ran the ball through the centre of the field from six metres inside his half to ten metres into the Eagles. Also in the 75th minute from the right of the play the ball Ryder Williams ran the ball from twenty to within seven metres of the try line. Then in the 77th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball and forty metres from the try line Ryder Williams got the ball three metres inside the Eagles half.

The 74th minute saw Ryder Williams put in a short kick-off to his left with the ball retrieved by Southport just after crossing the ten metre plane.
 
Junior Filimaua started at left centre for the Tugun Seahawks in their GCRL Week Two First Grade Final against the Burleigh Bears and in the 10th minute from a Tugun penalty restart Junior Filimaua ran the ball ten metres from forty metres from the try line.

Also from the right of the play the ball in the 26th minute Junior Filimaua was able to get the ball from twenty five to thirty eight metres from the try line. Then in the 31st minute from the right of the dummy half Junior Filimaua ran from twelve to twenty three metres from the try line after a clockwise spin. Also in the 35th minute from the left of the play the ball but to the right of the posts and twenty five metres from his try line Junior Filimaua was able to make fifteen metres.

In the 63rd minute Junior Filimaua carried the ball through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball from five to sixteen metres from his try line and then in the 65th minute Junior Filimaua carried the ball down the left channel from eighteen to thirty metres from the try line.
 
In 2024 Titans JTS player Leeroi Stokes was a stand out for the TSS U13A side as well as playing for the Southport Tigers and is certainly one to watch in coming years.
 
Banjora Porch come off the bench to operate in the front row for the Byron Bay Devils in the 11th minute of the Week Two NRRRL U18 Major Semi-final against the Tweed Coast Raiders and two minutes later in the 13th minute from the left of the play the ball Banjora Porch ran the ball from forty six to thirty four metres from the try line after a left foot step. Then in the 44th minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball Banjora Porch was able to get the ball within six metres of the try line after a fourteen metre charge. Also in the 55th minute after receiving an off-load from his right Banjora Proch charged from thirty to sixteen metres from the try line before getting a right arm off-load away to his right.
 
Jimmy McCombie started at five eight for the Byron Bay Devils in the 11th minute of the Week Two NRRRL U18 Major Semi-final against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Jimmy McCombie recording a try assist in the 49th minute with a smart right foot chip kick to the left corner from ten metres out and to the left of the dummy half with Elliott Farrell out jumping his Tweed Coast opponent to take Jimmy McCombie’s kick on the full to score in the left corner.

In the 40th minute Jimmy McCombie was able to force a Tweed Coast goal line drop-out when from two passes to the right of the play the ball in the centre of the field Jimmy McCombie ran the ball to within ten metres of the try line and put in a right foot grubber kick between the posts with the ball taken dead by the Raiders to require the goal line drop-out.
 
Elliott Farrell started at fullback (spent time at left centre in the second half) for the Byron Bay Devils in Week Two NRRRL U18 Major Semi-final against the Tweed Coast Raiders with Elliott Farrell scoring in the 49th minute when eh followed through a Jimmy McCombie chip kick towards the left corner with Elliott Farrell out jumping his opposing defender to score in the left corner.

Elliott Farrell had come close to scoring in just the 3rd minute of the match with an effort out of dummy half to his right from two metres out and just in from the left touchline with Elliott Farrell seemingly getting the ball down after being flipped onto his back however the referee ruled that Elliott Farrell had lost the ball over the try line in the process of getting the ball to the ground.

In the 17th minute from the right of the play the ball Elliott Farrell broke a tackle as he carried the ball from fourteen to thirty metres away from the try line with approximately 75% of the metres gained being post contact. Then in the 23rd minute after taking a Tweed Coast kick on the full in the centre of the field Elliott Farrell returned the ball from twenty to forty metres out. Also in the 40th minute from the left of the play the ball Elliott Farrell carried the ball to within two metres of the try line after commencing his run seventeen metres out.

Elliott Farrell ran out of dummy half to his right in the 48th minute from ten metres inside his half to two metres into Tweed Coast territory and then in the 59th minute Elliott Farrell carried the ball down the left channel from seventeen to thirty metres from the try line before receiving a penalty.

Elliott Farrell did well defensively in the 5th minute to race to his right after the Tweed Coast left centre had regathered a kick with Elliott Farrell bringing him to ground a metre from the try line and two metres in from the right touchline.
 
Brody Hawkins-Malcolm started on the right wing (player at lock in the second half) for the Southport Tigers in Round Thirteen of the GCRL U20 competition against the Runaway Bay Seagulls with Brody Hawkins-Malcolm scoring in the 25th minute by way of a six metre burst down the right touchline to score in the corner after holding off his opposing winger.

Brody Hawkins-Malcolm came close to scoring a second try in the 39th minute from a charge from the right of the play the ball and eleven metres from the try line only to be dragged down by three defenders just centremetres from the try line and two metres rto the left of the posts.

From the left of the play the ball but to the right of the posts in the 12th minute a Brody Hawkins-Malcolm yardage carry saw the ball progressed from four to sixteen metres from the try line. Then in the 24th minute Brody Hawkins-Malcolm carried the ball down a short right blindside from eleven metres from his try line to twenty four metres out.

From the right of the play the ball and also through the centre of the field in the 46th minute came Brody Hawkins-Malcolm stepped off his right foot to target the area behind the markers and breaking a tackle to run the ball from twenty to thirty five metres from the try line.

From the right of the play the ball in the 54th minute and on the halfway mark Brody Hawkins-Malcolm was able to get the ball sixteen metres inside Runaway Bay territory and then in the 59th minute from two passes to the left of the play the ball and from a standing start Brody Hawkins-Malcolm ran to his right from forty eight metres to thirty three metres from the try line.
 
In 2024 Ike Billish attended PBC SHS in 2024 playing in the School Boy Rugby League Hancock Cup competition.

Ike Billish played for the Runaway Bay Seagulls in the GCRL U14 Division One competition including starting at lock in the Grand Final against the Coomera Cutters.

In total in the 2024 GCRL U14 Division One competition Ike Billish started matches at fullback and lock and scored four tries including a double in the Preliminary Final against the Burleigh Bears and also scored in Round Eleven against the Coomera Cutters and Round Thirteen against the Currumbin Eagles.

In late 2024 Ike Billish started at lock and captain for the New Avengers U14 side against the Velocity All-stars with Ike Billish also scoring in the match.
 
In 2024 Sam Fahlstrom played for Peninsula in the Queensland School Boy U15 Rugby League Championships starting the opening three matches in the front row being against Darling Downs, North West and Wide Bay before coming off the bench in Match Four against South West.
 
Luke Jones started at left second row for the Currumbin Eagles in the GCRL U18 Division One Preliminary Final against the Helensvale Hornets with Luke Jones making a great tackle in the 14th minute to prevent a Hornets try when he held up the Helensvale fullback two metres to the left of the posts.

In the 20th minute Luke Jones cut the Helensvale replacement dummy half No. 14 in half after he had tried to make ground out of dummy half eleven metres from the try line. Luke Jones made another big tackle in the 40th minute when he crunched one of the Hornets replacement forwards (No. 15) by coming over the top to force a knock on in the centre of the field and thirty metres from the try line.

From the left of the play the ball but to the right of the uprights in the 19th minute Luke Jones stepped off his left foot twice in quick succession to run the ball from ten to twenty two metres from the try line. Then two minutes later in the 21st minute from three passes to the left of a Currumbin scrum win Luke Jones broke a tackle as he surged from thirty two to twenty metres from the try line.
 
2024 also saw Sam Fahlstrom play from Atherton Roosters in the FNRRL Coastal U15 competition with Sam Fahlstrom starting in the front row and scoring in the Roosters Golden Point extra time 30 -28 victory against the Kangaroo’s.

Sam Fahlstrom scored a key try in the 52nd minute with a charge to the right of the play the ball from right metres from the try line and even though he was spun around and stopped just short of the try line Sam Fahlstrom spun counter clockwise to get the ball down on the try line ten metres in from the left corner post.

Sam Fahlstrom also recorded a line break assist in the 7th minute when after running onto the ball to the right of the dummy half eight metres inside his half Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball to seven metres inside Kangaroo’s territory and with his back to the try line Sam Fahlstrom was able to get a left arm off-load away to his left to Jonty Coutts who as a result burst through the centre of the field to within fourteen metres of the try line.

In the 5th minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball from thirty to twenty metres from the try line before being awarded a penalty for an illegal strip of the ball. Then in the 9th minute Sam Fahlstrom returned a kick-off to the twenty two metre mark and then a tackle later from the left of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball to within thirty metres of the try line and then awarded a penalty for ruck interference.

From two passes to the right of a Roosters penalty restart in the 20th minute Sam Fahlstrom carried the ball through the centre of the field from thirty two to within twenty metres of the try line and then in the 26th minute from the right of the play the ball and twelve metres from his own try line a Sam Fahlstrom yardage carry saw him make thirteen metres with approximately 70% of the metres gained being post contact. Also in the 38th minute from the right of the play the ball once again Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball through the centre of the field from the halfway to forty metres from the try line.

In the 40th minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom ran onto the ball on the halfway mark and carried the ball ten metres into Kangaroo’s territory. Then from the left of the play the ball in the 43rd minute Sam Fahlstrom ran from six metres inside his half to nine metres into the Kangaroo’s and then a tackle later also from the right of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom made twelve more metres to get within twenty two metres of the try line.

From the right of the play the ball in the 51st minute Sam Fahlstrom was able to make ten metres to run the ball to within thirty metres of the try line before finding Jonty Coutts with an off-load to his left. Also in the 54th minute Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball through the centre of the field from the left of the play the ball and after stepping off both his left and right feet Sam Fahlstrom just kept going as was able to get the ball to within twenty metres of the try line.
Then in Gold Point Extra Time in the 61st minute from the left of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom ran the ball from twenty eight to thirty eight metres from his try line and then a tackle later from the right of the play the ball Sam Fahlstrom got the ball from two metres inside his half to twelve metres inside Kangaroo’s territory.

In addition to starting in the front row in the Grand Final Sam Fahlstrom started eleven more times in the front row for the Roosters in the FNQRL Coast U15 competition and scored eight more tries to finish as the competition’s equal seventh leading try scorer.

In addition to scoring a double in the rescheduled Round Four match against the Mareeba Gladiators Sam Fahlstrom scored in Round Two and Ten against the Ivanhoe Knights, Round Seven and the rescheduled Round Three match against Edmonton Storm, Round Eight against the Innisfail Leprechauns and Round Twelve against Mareeba.

After coming off the bench in the 13th minute to operate at left second row in the 13th minute for Currumbin Eagles in the GCRL U18 Division One Preliminary Final against the Helensvale Hornets Nelson Makaafi scored in the 50th minute when he ran onto a pass from his left from Harrison Doherty fourteen metres from the try line to score midway between the corner post and goal post on the left side of the field.

In the 17th minute from the left of the play the ball Nelson Makaafi was able to carry the ball through the centre of the field from eight metres inside his half to eight metres into Hornets territory after stepping off his left foot. Then in the 25th minute to the right of a Currumbin penalty restart fourteen metres from the try line Nelson Makaafi got within a metre of the try line ten metres in from the right corner post. Also in the 40th minute from two passes to the right of a Currumbin scrum win Nelson Makaafi surged forward from thirty eight to twenty one metres from the try line after breaking a tackle with approximately 75% of the metres being post contact.

Nelson Makaafi showed his strength in the 28th minute when he grabbed the Helensvale left winger eight metres from the try line and rag dolled him back into the in-goal to force a Hornets goal line drop-out.
 
Zac Kumbamong started in the front row for the Helensvale Hornets in the GCRL U18 Division One Preliminary Final against the Currumbin Eagles and in the 13th minute from the right of the play the ball Zac Kumbamong ran the ball through the centre of the field from thirty to forty two metres from the try line before being awarded a penalty after being held down too long.

From two passes to the right of the play the ball in the 16th minute Zac Kumbamong ran to within twelve metres of the try line before getting his right arm free to off-load to his right and then in the 18th minute from the left of the dummy half and forty metres from his try line Zac Kumbamong as able to get the ball eight metres in the Eagles territory.

From the left of the play the ball in the 22nd minute a straight hard charge from Zac Kumbamong saw the ball moved to within centremetres of the try line from fourteen metres out in front of the posts and after a quick play the ball by Zac Kumbamong his dummy half was able to dive over to score under the posts. Zac Kumbamong then ran the ball back from the subsequent kick-off out to the twenty metre mark.
 
Brody Hawkins Malcolm moved to right centre for the Southport Tigers in the GCRL U20 Preliminary Final against the Runaway Bay Seagulls with Brody Hawkins Malcolm scoring in the 64th minute when he charged into a gap wide on the right from ten metres out with Brody Hawkins Malcolm then bringing het ball around to put it down twelve metres in from the right corner post.

In just the 2nd minute from the right of the play the ball and on the halfway mark Brody Hawkins Malcolm was able to make ten metres and then in the 7th minute from the right of a Southport scrum win Brody Hawkins Malcolm got the ball from sixteen to within five metres of the try line five metres to the right of the posts. Also in the 16th minute from the right of the play the ball Brody Hawkins Malcolm ran from thirty six metres from his try line to within two metres of the halfway mark.

From the left of a Southport scrum win in the 24th minute a Brody Hawkins Malcolm yardage carry saw the ball moved from six to eighteen metres from his try line. Also in the 28th minute after looping from the right to the left of the play the ball as the ball was being played Brody Hawkins Malcolm charged at the defensive line to run the ball from a metres from his try line to twelve metres out. Then in the 40th minute also from the left of the play the ball Brody Hawkins Malcolm utilised a right foot and left foot step to promote the ball from twenty two to thirty five metres from the try line.
 
Brock Lennox was back at left centre for the Runaway Bay Seagulls in the GCRL U20 Preliminary Final against the Southport Tigers with Brock Lennox making the third hit-up of the match from the right of the play the ball from twenty to thirty three metres from the try line after continuing to pump his legs and he dragged defenders with him.

In the 3rd minute from the right of the play the ball Brock Lennox was able to run the ball yet again from twenty to thirty three metres from his try line and then in the 22nd minute from two passes to the right of the play the ball and thirty six metres from the try line Brock Lennox ran to within twenty four metres of the try line before getting a left arm off-load away to his left.

From a penalty restart in the 30th minute Brock Lennox was able to move the ball from six metres inside his half to seven metres into Southport territory and in the 38th minute from the left of the play the ball and after stepping off his left foot Brock Lennox to target the area behind the markers Brock Lennox broke two tackles as he ran through the centre of the field from fourteen to forty two metres from his try line. Also qfter stepping off his left foot once again after running onto the ball to the left of the dummy half Brock Lennox got from two to fifteen metres away from his try line.

In the 11th minute Brock Lennox well when he chased through a Seagulls grubber kick into the in-goal and tackle the Tigers left winger in-goal to force a goal line drop-out. Then in the 23rd minute from dummy half a metre from the try line twelve metres in from the right corner post Brock Lennox stepped to his left to put in a short right foot grubber kick which was played at by a Southport defender with Runaway Bay regathering the ball to get six more tackles in a great attacking position. Also Brock Lennox put in a short right foot kick-off to his left to start the second half with the Seagulls regathering the ball. Brock Lennox put in another short right foot kick-off to his left in the 66th minute with the ball knocked on by a Tigers defender to enable Runaway Bay to feed the resultant scrum.
 
2024 saw Jonty Coutts play for the Atherton Roosters in the FNQRL Coastal U15 competition with Jonty Coutts starting at hooker and kicking a match winning Golden Point penalty goal in the 66th minute of the 30 – 28 Grand Final victory against the Kangaroo’s from directly in front and twenty metres out after a Kangaroo’s twenty metre drop-out did not travel the required ten metres.

Jonty Coutts scored his initial Grand Final try in the 35th minute when with the play the ball twenty metres from the try line and on the left touchline with Jonty Coutts running out of dummy half to his right and after a subtle dummy to his right and a simultaneous right foot step Jonty Coutts burst through a gap and then brought the ball around to score under the posts. Jonty Coutts then converted his own try.

Jonty Coutts completed his Grand Final double in the 40th minute with a smart solo effort when with play the ball forty metres from the try line and once again on the left touchline Jonty Coutts moved to his right out of dummy half and put in a right foot kick downfield with the ball taking a horror bounce for everyone but Jonty Coutts who collected the ball on the second bounce just inside the field of play to score ten metres to the left of the posts. Jonty Coutts then once again converted his own try.

In addition to kicking the Grand Final winning Golden Point penalty goal Jonty Coutts kicked four conversions from five attempts with Jonty Coutts kicking his initial conversion in the 8th minute from twelve metres from the left of the posts and then added a second in the 35th minute to convert the first of his two tries in the 35th minute from directly in front.

Jonty Coutts then converted his second try in the 40th minute from ten metres to the left of the posts before kicking a great conversion from the left touchline in the 55th minute.

Jonty Coutts also made a line break in the 7th minute when he ran off an off-load from his right from one of his front rowers to make a line break through the centre of the field from forty three metres out after stepping off his left foot with Jonty Coutts running the ball to within fourteen metres of the try line.

Jonty Coutts as heavily involved in a critical Atherton try in the 54th minute when after running out of dummy half to his left forty metres from the try line Jonty Coutts executed multiple left and right foot steps to run the ball to twenty metres from the try line before off-loading to his left to his left centre with the Roosters scoring a pass later.

Jonty Coutts made his initial foray out of dummy half in the 4th minute to his right down a short right blindside to carry the ball from thirty metres from his try line to within four metres of the halfway mark. Then in the 51st minute Jonty Coutts ran off another pass from one of his front rowers from his right to run the ball from thirty to twenty metres from the try line before off-loading to his left.

Jonty Coutts had an incredible 2024 FNQRL Coastal U15 competition finishing as both the competitions leading try scorer with twenty tries and the competitions leading points scorer with 134 points from his twenty tries and twenty seven goal kicks.

Jonty Coutts scored a staggering six tries (and nine conversions) in Round Ten against Ivanhoe Knights and also scored a hat trick against the Knights in Round Two. Jonty Coutts also scored doubles in the Rescheduled Round Four and Round Twelve against the Mareeba Gladiators and scored in Round Eight against the Innisfail Leprechauns, the Rescheduled Round Three against the Edmonston Storm, Round Fourteen against the Tully Tigers and the Preliminary Final against the Kangaroo’s.

From a goal kicking perspective Jonty Coutts kicked nine from eleven against the Ivanhoe Knights in Round Two to finish with forty two points in that match alone.
 
Will Picken started at left centre for the Mullumbimby Giants in Round Eight of the NRRRL First Grade competition against the Murwillumbah Mustangs with Will Picken running out of dummy half to his left in the 6th minute and after breaking a tackle Will Picken promoted the ball from six to twenty metres from his try line.

In the 11th minute from two passes to the left of a Mullumbimby scrum Will Picken pushed and shoved his way to within three metres of the try line and ten metres to the left of the goal posts from fourteen metres out. Then in the 26th minute from wide on the left side of the field Will Picken was able to get the ball from thirty to twenty metres from the try line. Also in the 53rd minute from the left of the play the ball and twenty two metres from his try line Will Picken was able to make fourteen metres to the thirty six metre mark.

Two minutes later in the 55th minute from the right of the play the ball and eleven metres from his own try line Will Picken’s yardage carry with 70% of the metres post contact got the ball to the twenty metre mark. Also in the 64th minute from the right of the play the ball Will Picken ran the ball from thirty five metres from the try line to within a metre of the halfway mark.

From Mullumbimby penalty restart in the 65th minute Will Picken made ten metres to get the ball within twenty metres of the try line and then in the 72nd minute Will Picken ran a hard straight crash line from the left of the play the ball to carry the ball from forty three to thirty one metres from the try line. Also in the 76th minute from the right of the play the ball Will Picken backed his way from twenty eight to thirty eight metres from the try line.
 
Round Two of the 2024 GCRL U18 Division One competition saw Brody Hawkins-Malcolm start at right centre for the Southport Tigers against the Burleigh Bears and inside the opening minute of the match from the left of the play the ball but on the right side of the field a Brody Hawkins-Malcolm yardage carry saw him make ten hard metres from just eight metres out from his own try line.

In the 3rd minute from wide on the right side of the field Brody Hawkins-Malcolm ran to within a metre of the try line from twenty metres out and four metres in from the right corner post with three Bears defenders need to stop his effort. Then in the 8th minute from the right of the play the ball and two metres inside his own half Brody Hawkins-Malcolm carried the ball eight metres into Burleigh territory.

From a Southport penalty restart in the 14th minute twenty metres from the try line Brody Hawkins-Malcolm ran to his left and was able to shrug off one defender to get within ten metres of the try line. Also in the 18th minute from the right of the play the ball Brody Hawkins-Malcolm ran the ball from thirty to forty metres from the try line.
